List of South Florida Rheumatology's Reviews
I have been a patient here since 1990.The staff treats me like family, yet maintains their professionalism.Lynette Nicholson is my PA who always makes time to sit and address my concerns and questions. This office stays up to date on any new treatments and procedures. I definitely recommend South Florida Rheumatologyto anyone searching for a Rheumatologist.
*UPDATED* I decided to change my review from 2 to 1 star. I have been left without meds for going on 3 weeks with ZERO callbacks. I’ve called multiple times, left at least 3 voicemails requesting refills of a medication I’ve been on for several years at this point. No response, no communication, and frankly nonexistent concern for patients who rely on their meds to function on a daily basis. Definitely going to be finding somewhere else to manage my chronic pain because this is EXTREMELY annoying and really disappointing. *Doctors are great when you can get an appointment or if they actually pick up the phone. I’ve called many times to get refills on a medication that I need daily and no one ever gets back to me or they turn their phones off when I call. Even if it’s a reasonable time before they close. Very frustrating. 👎🏼
Dr. Nicholson is the freaking best! I wish all my Dr's were like her. She treats u like a real person and friend who cares! She will go out of her way to help u! Plus all the staff r great! U tell me what Dr's office gets u in and out in a half hour! And that includes waiting in the waiting room! I recommend this place to anyone who needs a rheumatologist. And if u happen to get Lynette tell her Dori-Jill says hi! Lol
As far as the doctors goes, they are the best! They go above and beyond to help you ! I have been a patient of Dr. Lynette Nicholson for 8 yrs ,she has maintained my rheumatoid arthritis and I am in good health because of her and I thank her for that. The front desk however needs help.I find that some of the girls have attitude issues and it takes forever to reach someone on the phone an when you do you get someone with an attitude. Not good very disappointed
I have been going to South Florida Rheumatology for the past 16 months. Dr. Jordan was a great dr. I would go every 6 to 8 weeks and have been in the weening of my steroids phase of the treatment. However, when I showed up for my latest appointment, I was told that Dr. Jordan no long worked there. They said they left me a voice mail, but that was not true. I waited two month for this appointment. I wanted to see another dr to help with my medication reduction. I was told again that they left me voice mail and wanted me to make a new appointment. The waiting room was empty and I was going on vacation in two days.I was really upset and said that I would just ween myself. To my surprise, the receptions said “fine” and wished me well. I can’t believe a medical practice would be ok with a patient weening themselves off a strong steroid. I can see why Dr. Jordan left. Now, I have to find a new doctor to help with my medication withdrawals.
I have been a patient at South Florida Rheumatology now for over 3 years. I have been in the care of 2 wonderful doctors and their nurse, Rosie. The three of them have been nothing but patient, caring and extremely knowledgeable. They truly care about their patients and the patients needs.
This week it have been 1 yr since I'm not a patient here anymore. Not because of the doctors, but because the administrative service, which ultimate is the most important thing in this medicine business.I've been patient for 17 yrs, Lynnette, Dr Santiago we're GREAT, THE BEST, as well as Dr Riskin and Dr Kahn. ( Those are the 2 stars I'm giving) Last year after 17 yrs, I had to leave them because the personal in the office told me I couldn't be seen or get my infussion without referrals, but my insurance as most of them, due to pandemic, decided we didn't need referrals while this was going on, and send a letter explaining so. I called the insurance they called the administrative personal in South Florida Rheumatology and told them I did NOT need referrals. So when I went again for my infussion(2nd time) again they told me they couldn't give it to me without referrals, I asked if they got the call and they did got the call from Avmed but insisted I should bring referral or pay for the treatment myself( imagine almost $5,000.00). I though they were kidding, I called my insurance, they called the office again, gave me the name of the person they spoke with, but this person told me that the kept the policy and instructions they told me already. So, after 17 yrs, with the same insurance paying them constantly thousands of dollars for me, I asked for a copy of my files, which they supposedly gave me in an SD card I brought, but it was almost empty. For me was very hard because I felt my Drs were my family, each Xmas I made gifts for each one in the office with all my heart, not only MDS but the rest of people working there(18), I felt protected by them, but I was not, I was left 3 months in Pain and suffering with no treatment and no one cared. I was left suffering not only in physical pain but emotional, crying every day because I hurt physically and in my heart. That day I learned that this office was like a department store. I know the owners have to make a lot of payments, md's, nurses, electricity, medicines equipments, ECT. But if Ins is saying they will pay , and being in such a special moment as the begining of the pandemic, I didn't understand how they could leave a patient in the air, without any help and support. Luckily I found another Rheumatology Clinic that could give me service and administer my infussion a week after I arrive as patient, with no referalls because they had the same letter that was sent to South Florida Rheumatology, but they preferred to ignored. I hope nobody else had to go through the same experience I did.It was a very sad experience, just like a divorce, I had physical and emotional pain. My conditions got out of control, but this place didn't care. I ask myself, what would have happened if because of these I ended up in hospital? Bet you they wouldn't care either.ld me
I thoroughly enjoyed the Professionalism ofthe South Florida Rheumatology Staff.Dr. Riskin, Lynette Nicholson, and Betsywelcomed me, were attentive to my needs, and assured me that I would receive the very bestof care.Sincerely,Denise D. Moss
Dr Riskin and Lynnette Nicholson PA treated me well. BUT!! They treated my symptoms ( pain) not the cause of my swelling of my foot and ankle. I now have to wait a month for a follow-up. The swelling is expanding up my leg.
She was very interested in my current problems. Listened and prescribed what I needed. I am satisfied

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
