Stuart Sobel's Online Review Report Card

I been trying to make an appointment and cant get a hold of nobody for 5 days now... This is such a horrible experience.

Have been a patient of Dr. Sobel for many years as has my wife, children and friends to whom I have recommended him. The cause of him being late with his appointments is that he takes the time needed to treat each patient in a manner that makes them well, both physically and emotionally. There are few doctors like him. Wouldn't trade him for anything.

Dr. Sobel was recommended by my Primary Care physician. When I called for an appointment, the first thing I was told was that Dr. Sobel generally runs 2-4 hrs late on scheduled appointments. And was told that patients should call 30 minutes before said scheduled appointment to find out when they will be seen. My time is also valuable. I chose to find a different practitioner.

Dr. Sobel is hands down the best dermatologist in South Florida. Deeply experienced and knowledgeable, caring, and will take as much time as you need to answer all questions and do a thorough examination. The flip side is what some other users have posted...that your 11am appointment is in reality a 2pm appointment. However, the staff has a dedicated line to give you an update as to what time your appointment will be. Well you can't have your cake and eat it too, you can't expect a Dr. to go the extra mile with patients and then be on time with everybody. If you want the best, this is a tradeoff well worth accepting. If you want a Dr. who tries to get you in and out, but keeps to appointment times, then Dr. Sobel isn't for you.

Dr Sobel is kind and caring ,very meticulous in screening for skin cancer...excellent staff and overall patient care!

Appointments mean nothing to this doctor and his staff. Suffering from other medical issues it can be impossible to time medications and stay away from home for more than an hour or two at a time. After making an appointment and arriving early, was forced to wait more than an hour and a half before having to leave because i could not stay any longer, due to shaking and pain of Parkinson’s. They are aware of my condition and still made no accommodations to see me in a timely manner. Had to leave without seeing the doctor. Have been a patient for years and this waiting has been an ongoing problem.

Have no idea why he can't even get close to keeping appointment time. He must overbook to the limit. Had an appointment today at 11:45 AM but called ahead and was told I would have to wait until 2:45 to see the doctor. At 2 I called again and was told they could not give me an estimate as to how long I would have to wait. Who is this guy who thinks he can treat patients this way? Don't care if he is a good or bad doc...he should learn how to run a practice!

Looking for a top notch dermatologist, one that can provide the difficult conditions to diagnosis, or will correct the wrong diagnosis previously given, and who'll patiently sit with you, listen to your history and ask relevant questions in his effort to find appropriate solution(s) and administer the best treamtent? If so, he's your man. He's a true professional, with a good sense of humor and an eye for the elusive. I highly recommend him.

Horrible! They do not honor appointments. Refuse to take you at your scheduled time. Receptionist is rude. No communication. Find another doctor.

So rude! Does not honor appointment times. Sitting for an hour and rude receptionist won’t let me be seen because I am on time and didn’t call to get a later time. Unacceptable! Go elsewhere!
