List of Harold Ward's Reviews
After diagnosing me with Glaucoma and issuing several prescriptions for eye irritation, which he seemed to just be guessing which prescriptions to try, he threw up his arms and told me he couldn't help me. I was referred to another Ophthalmologist that totally disagreed with his Glaucoma diagnosis and told me after testing me 2xs that I do not have Glaucoma. He also was the only Dr. in the past year to charge me $50 to complete Disability paperwork. Even the Disability Attorney says the max to be charged is $13.00. Time to retire!
I knew something was going wrong. Thought it was floaters. Turns out I had a retinal tear. He did emergency Lazer surgery within a few minutes and saved my vision. I could have went blind at any moment. He also saved my husband's vision removing metal from his eye from using a grinder without safety glasses. He is retired military doctor, so if you expect some fluffy guy with a girly bedside manner, go find someone else. If you want a doctor that has seen and FIXED just about anything, he's your doctor.
No stars!! The worst!!! I encourage anyone looking for eye care to look elsewhere. This practice may have been in business for 30 some years and it shows. The office is dirty and smells as if it had not been cleaned in a long time. The people working here are set at desks in every nook and cranny, obviously not happy. None of them are friendly or even attempt to be professional. The first room we were taken to was basically a closet stuffed with old files. Then had to snake our way through desks and people trying to maneuver through the tiny crowded rooms. Once in an "exam" room, again it was dirty. The person conducting the first part of the exam was using the top of a small refrigerator to write on. As for conducting the exam; it was an absolute joke. If you have a hearing impairment, which my family member does, was not able to hear the assistant due to a loud TV playing in another room. Her lack of patience got the best of her, which ended up with an "indeterminate" script for the refraction. This was all before Dr Ward shows up in the room. My first impression of him was arrogance. This was followed up with being rough and down right rude. He did not explain what the outcome of the exam was other than AMD and there is a new treatment approved for it now, which is a monthly shot that he does not recommend. If you like to be treated like this or watch this play out for a family member then this is for you. If not, I encourage you to look for other eye professionals in the area. I wished I had done a better job of researching and reviewing doctors for my family member. This guy was down right horrible and unprofessional.
Horrible he is rude. Their staff charged me $298 yet billed my insurance and were paid for it. No asnwer at his office unless you want to by a medical alert device. Horrible, never again
Dr Ward should NOT be in practice! Having worked in the Medical profession there are certain standards a Physician must follow. Dr. Ward is only a DO, but those still follow. I'm not saying that being a DO is bad, but stay away from this one. SHORT FUSED to staff and patients. Left in tears and disbelief over his demands to myself and staff as well. My illness is caused by stress and to be treated with such disrespect shame on him. I'm shocked he is still in pratice. This is far from over...
I don't care how bad of a day you are having you never take it out on your staff and/or patient. Never have I ever witnessed so much unprofessionalism from a doctor in my life. The staff is outstanding, but this doctor is a whack job. This is not over...
Excellent doctor! Thank you kindly!
When you call the office, the voicemail instructs you to call back during normal business hours, but doesn't tell you the hours. Been call all morning and getting the same message. Not sure if they are open or closed. I guess you need to go directly to the office to find out.
SARA! PHENOMIAL RECEPTION SERVICE! my girl that did the eye test, found my old script could be fine tuned, cannot wait to receive my new glasses! i cant for the life of me remember her name but she was very informative of the process. doc was quick and short but to the point, got my exam done and off to work in no time. THANKS GUYS!
The staff is great and Dr Ward came highly recommended. It was affordable too.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
