List of Udaya Kumar Md's Reviews
Please no more letters or calls from him or is front office accuracy!Bringing up sore wounds when not necessary after I thanked him for my surgery. Needs to investigate his incompetence of his front office who do not listen, and now has me visibly upset .
My visit to Advanced Urology In Homosassa was great. The staff was friendly and professional. Nicole was a joy to work with, she took the time to explain my upcoming procedure and put my mind at ease.
Dr. Kumar has been consistent in his ability to treat my medical issues. He is always professional and takes the time to explain, in laymen's terms, what the problem is and what his treatment plan will be. He provides you with options and makes you a part of the decision making process, with his professional guidance. Additionally, his staff is both polite and professional. I would highly recommended Dr. Kumar to anyone seeking the help of a urologist.
He treated me while in AR at UAMS. Horrible experience. No follow up care after an 8.5 hr procedure. Still issues to this day because of this man and his poor surgical techniques. I will run his name down to anyone who cares to listen. Luckily I’m ok by the grace of God and lots of prayers.
Not interested in his patients care...surgery and then out ya go. Good luck not even offered. Lol. He is the worst I’ve ever came across.
My husband had Robotic surgery preformed by Dr. Kumar. We are in Europe now under the care of another urologist. We found out yesterday that Dr. Kumar did not remove all of the cancerous prostate gland. As a result my husbands PSA is 0.7. instead of going down to 0.0-0.2 it is going up. Also, the surgery took 7 hours instead of the four. He had to restitch my husband. Also, they left the catheter in for 3 weeks. Then when they went to remove it, Dr. Kumar had sewn the type to the bladder. We are very sad, that he did not care enough about his patient to tell him all this. We have prayed and know God will take care of this.
I had a procedure done by this so called DR and after the surgery he sent me home with no antibiotics and I had a fever. One week later I am still having pain and bleeding. I have called the office but no return phone call back so last night I went to a walk in clinic and they could not believe he did that so they gave me a prescription and a shot now I have to wait for the test results on Monday to see what type of infection I have.
Went in for a same day surgery for a kidney stone and spent 5 days in the hospital. Never again would I get surgery in citrus county.
This doctor recommended radiation therapy for prostate cancer as surgery was not an option. Sent me to The Villages, an hour and a half drive each way. He later wanted me to go to Sarasota for another test. Evidently is is more important for this doctor to send folks to facilities within his practice rather than send them to the nearest qualified facility. He should have sent me to the Roert Boisoneault Oncology Institute in Lecanto just fifteen minutes from my home. Cannot recommend this doctor.
I received a message on my answering machine INFORMING me that I had an appointment with this doctor on a specific date and time. NOTE - at no time had I even suggested that I might be interested in seeing this doctor. It is likely that he had seen me while I was hospitalized about a week earlier, although I don't recall it. I called to inform them that it is unacceptable for them to just dictate to me what I should do without my consent. The woman who answered the phone was arrogant, went on a rant and finally hung up on me! Unbelievable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
