I am not questioning Dr. Akel's skills as a cardiovascular surgeon. My dissatisfaction revolves around bed-side manor. Thinking this was a routine exam, I was surprised with a diagnosis of "dark". After the procedure, I saw Dr. Akel once, an associate once and a nurse practitioner once. None of the 3 seemed to be on the same page and my questions were not answered, even when I submitted a written list of questions.

July 2023 Dr. Akel office manager and staff are the most amazing and caring staff that I’ve known. My husband was experiencing shortness of breath and chest pains when I called the office the office manager had me come in as soon as possible. Upon finishing an EKG. The doctor realize the severity of my husband‘s cardiac problems. He was sent to the emergency room at bayonet hospital where Dr. Akel, Dr. Jung along with his team in the Cath Lab were able to help my husband. My husbands life was saved from having a major heart attack and there’s no words that could be express the gratitude to Dr. Akel, Anne the PA, Dr. Jung and all of his amazing staff. This is an office I will recommend highly. We need more people with heart and this office surely has plenty of heart, compassion and professionalism. .

Dr.Akel and Staff saved my life!! Words cannot describe how greatful I am. On April 25,2023, I walked into the office not feeling well. The office manager Ms.Mitchell took me into a room and triage me. The quick actions of Anne the PA and Dr.Jung along with Dr.Akel saved my life. Dr.Akel is my cardiologist and I highly recommend him. He is truly blessed with an amazing gift, if you are ever having heart problems he is the best cardiologist to have on your side. Thank you All for everything.

My mother has been seeing Dr. Akel for some years now. The professionalism of the office staff cannot seem to get referrals done when appropriate. Otherwise, everything else seems fine.

Worst staff the manager of the Trinity office she doesn’t know Her job and the doctor is unprofessional he doesn’t care about the patients, he is not listening to the patients he just care about his staff.. I had an Appointment and waited a month to see the dr and when I went she said we don’t take your insurance and she said to see the dr you have to pay $194 today so I called my insurance they said they should take it so the insurance called the office and the manager came saying sorry we take your insurance so I told her I don’t want to talk to you when I see the dr will talk then the dr came and said you can see another doctor we don’t have appointments for you !!!! I don’t know what to say ..

Saved my wife's life, she unexpectedly coded 4 times he saved her, and put in 5 stints . Would recommend him to brothers and sisters, my kids and everyone else I know ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Very thorough and detailed . I had a very rare heart problem ...15 days in ICU...he did his research , studied the situation...made a plan with his team and I felt totally at eaze. All of his staff that visited me while in the hospital had empathy for me add really listened..leaving me feeling better and more at ease. Highly recommend!!

Waited over an hour to see the doctor. Front desk person said that was "normal" and all the patients that went before us (but arrived after us) were people who "really need to see the doctor." Apparently they thought I was there to enjoy the dusty stench and sit in plastic chairs? Obviously I cannot trust a doctor with my cardiac needs knowing he cannot manage basic skills such as time and staff. Would not recommend to a friend.
