List of Arif Sami's Reviews
Seems to work by rote and not really have a clue... waste of time.
He made a point to make me feel beneath him. He asked very personal questions that have nothing to do with my health. He tried to dismiss me as a patient because I wouldn't tell him my ex husband's name whom I divorced in 1991. What part does my ex husband's name from over 35yrs ago have to do with my health today? Nothing!
I couldn't answer certain questions, mainly because I couldn't remember. Time ago was too long. Throughout the exam he asked me the same questions over and over and I told him you've asked me that 4 times. His response was "I have a bad memory, I can't remember," I replied with"you're writing my answers down." He didn't respond. Does he truly have a bad memory? If so he shouldn't be practicing medicine.
The receptionist is really snippy and terse; she acts like patients are a bother or an intrusion to her schedule. The first visit was weird; he kept asking me the same questions over and over. I realize the 1st visit requires probing into your health history, but many questions seemed overly invasive or irrelevant to my health history. Dr. Sami made assumptions and diagnoses based on this information without validating it through any exam or testing. I probably should have switched to another doc then, but I decided to give him more chances. Subsequent visits revealed that he either wrote things down incorrectly or didn't listen at all; his notes showed the data was mostly wrong; he had incorrect dates, issues, and data; even things that never happened were listed. Also, the 2nd visit was nothing more than a repeat of the 1st, nothing else. I feel like just wants to keep me coming back so he can keep billing my insurance. I am undecided about returning at this time.
Can't say anything about the doctor, but the office staff made me find someone else. Worst attitudes ever.
Dr. Sami is the best neuroligist in citrus county.Been going to him for 8+ years. He is very thorough so bring any records u have.Never a wait n extremely nice.
I went to Dr Sami because I had a reaction to cold environment which turned my Body red, itchy & swelling for a period of 30 minutes or less. Dr Sami treated me like I was on “a witness stand” VERY CONDESCENDING & RUDE. He acted like I was not capable mentally to answer questions. His female office manager was impatient,NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL & rude because I was 7 to 8 minutes late!! I will NEVER GO BACK TO HIM & I advise anyone who has a medical problem to NOT GO. He is not understanding & has a terrible attitude.
After my poor husband paid for copays galore the doctor ran test after test and refused to prescribe ended up driving back home to South florida and got the Medicine he needed from a reliable doctor stay away takes you copays runs tests galore and no results Go elsewhere
In my opinion I don't think he is a real doctor. Terrible , wastes time distracting from the issues at hand.Rambles on about nothing related to the issue. Does tests non specific to the issue possibly to raise costs ? My recommendation is to stay away from this so called doctor if you value your health.
Yes I would recommend Dr Sami. He has been excellent with my husband's diagnoses of ALS. Dr Sami ability to explain the disease and answer our questions has been most comforting. He is a very caring dr and is always prepared for the doctor/patient visit. I can't thank him enough during this difficult time.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
