Some years ago now Dr Golkar literally saved my life!! He was recommended to me by a Dr and Nurse in the ER of Citrus Memorial. I had been severely sick for 8 years and over that time no Dr listened to me and took me seriously until I was sent to Dr Golkar. At that time I looked like a 63 lb teletubi. He ran a couple tests and figured out what was wrong with me. Finally after 8 yrs of the medical profession accusing me of being a drug addict which of course I wasnt. Dr. Golkar actually LISTENED to me about all the horrible pain I in. He is an amazing surgeon and I very highly recommend him!!

Dr. Golkar is caring, knowledgeable, and shows concern for his patients. He has a great bedside manner. I feel blessed for this Doctor to take over care of a post-op complications from another surgeon.

Dr. Golkar did a good urgent surgery I needed. Was a clean cut with a nicely healing. Reason I gave 3 starts was because after surgery his visit to my Advent Health Palm Coast Hospital room were extremely quick with no much explanations. Looks like he just did it because had to do it by laws. Hi has either lack of personality or he is not king of gay people (I am gay and married to a guy). Although he communicated with my husband to advise about surgery results while I was recouping. I did not even see him on my 2 weeks follow up surgery visit. He was in his office, never came to my room and I just saw his RN for couple of minutes to get my discharge from surgery.

He came highly recommended but I am the kind of patient that tries to be as well informed as possible upfront. I arrived for my first appointment with questions and he responded directly and completely with no hesitation whatsoever. After my surgery he called on me in the hospital everyday, even on weekends, and his manner was caring and compassionate. At my follow up appointment he explained exactly what he had done, with photographs, and how I should care for myself afterwards. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Golkar. My surgery went well, I healed quickly and I'm looking forward to an improved life because of it.

I would never recommend this man! When he worked in Citrus County he almost killed me because he refused to listen to my concerns. He kept shoveling Valium at me and was adament I could not have a fistula. After finally going to another County I saw a surgeon who quickly admitted me. I not only had a fistula but he put a stitch through my small intestine!! 3 inches of gangrenous colon had to be removed. I am alive no thanks to this unprofessional individual.

Dr. Golkar was very straight forward in describing the type of surgery needed to remove my early stage pancreatic cancer. He explained why everyone considered it a "big" surgery and what risks where involved. He explained how the same operation had been performed on other patients and the results achieved. I would trust him with any future surgery I might need in the future.
