Great Doctor and friendly staff

Made an appointment which took approximately 4 weeks to get in; took the day off work, the office called and rescheduled it 2 days before hand. Wasted day of vacation — thanks for that! Arrived for appointment #2 and was told that I would need to be rescheduled again as I was 3 minutes late in arriving. The waiting room was full with 6-8 people already waiting so you know that they were NOT running on time anyway! If you are a new patient you have to return your paperwork at least 1 day prior to your appointment and there are no on line resources to accomplish this task! AUI’s expectations are unrealistic and not at all patient friendly unless you are retired or unemployed! Will look for another patient centered provider with compassion for healthcare instead in of making money!

Dr Desautel is the most thorough Doctor and the most knowledgeable Doctor in his field that I’ve ever visited and takes the time needed to explain you health needs and listens to your questions 🤗excellent bedside manner and never rushes his time when having an office visit with him🤗never have to wait very long to get in once I sign in🤗

Dr. Desautel is an outstanding physician. He has treated me well and guided me back to good health.

My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer 5 yrs ago. I was already a patient of Dr Desautel , so I wanted him to go there to.Dr Desautel sent him to advanced prostate cancer institute. In Oxford fla .as part of his treatment. Sitting in the waiting room while my husband was having his treatments I heard horror story's it was very scary! We have none ,because we have the best,Dr My husband is fine now and we highly recommend Dr Desautel

No communication with office----do not return phone calls---changing appointments last minute

If you value your health, which I’m sure you do, avoid this urologist..!!! I am 65 and in my whole adulthood I have never dealt with a more dysfunctional and incompetent doctor and office staff. Records are not kept current, referrals this office sends you to are never followed up on or documented, appointments cancelled when you are in the office waiting to be examined loosing work days.... I could go on and on. If interested in health care and not excuses...find another urologist!!!!!

Originally visited for a low testosterone count only to have to walk away from them three months later because I am no further along in treatment than before my first appointment. From the lack of management and the constant excuses from the office manager Lisa, dealing with errors and arrogance from their nurse Jennifer, being referred to another doctor by their referral team member Shannon but then Shannon never documenting she made the referral so no follow up was completed after my appointment with their referral and then being told to obtain all results from testing myself (?!), never receiving any return phone calls..... I could go on and on about the incompetence demonstrated by literally everyone in that office. So, after three months completely wasted, I am now searching for a new urologist. Again, do yourself a favor and avoid Advanced Urology Specialists and Dr. DeSautel.

Dr. Desautel is a caring doctor taking time to explain in depth your diagnose and what options are available to a speedy recovery. Dr. Desautel treats patients as he would treat a family member. I would highly recommended him along with his staff.
