Dr. Acevedo visited us while my husband was hospitalized and told us he could cure my husband in 6 to 8 weeks if we let him give him infusion treatments at the Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute. We agreed but the treatment failed and my husband was in the hospital 5 weeks and Acevedo never returned a call or text and never came to the hospital to check on him. He only cares about the money. They run tests every two weeks then don't even look at the results. They gave my husband drugs he did not need. Several other Doctors have told us he should never have told us he could cure this.
Explains everything and answets all questions. Very compassionate person
Dr Acevedo in my opinion is the best there is in Oncology. He takes time with his patients and explains everything to you. You may have a little wait because he does not rush you out. He will take all the time you need and answer all your questions. I don't care if I have to wait 2 hrs to see him it's worth it to me to have someone listen and care so much. He is the best Dr I've ever had.
Dr. Acevedo did not communicate with my radiological oncologist. It was more of a competition of who "over dosed" me with their treatment. Was it to much chemo or to much radiation? They could not agree and had their own billings ahead of me the patient. In addition, I ALWAYS had to wait over an hour to see him. My last appointment was 1/15/18 which I paid for and waited over an hour. I finally got up and leftoin. His office did not attempt to contact me for 3 mths, then wanted to schedule an
I have been a patient of Dr. Acevedo's since 2009. I visited him the first time to meet him and just discuss my Multiple Myeloma. From the very first visit he was friendly, listened, and intelligently answered my questions. I have a great relationship with him and would not consider any change. Sometimes the patient has to listen to get to know the Dr. Just one of many stories : I had a friend who had a very aggressive cancer and he was searching for hope. He was not a patient of Dr.Acevedo's but Doc wrote a telephone number on a piece of paper and said" Tell him to call me after 6:00" It was his personal cell and it was so he could talk to him after his day ended. Now that is caring and compassion NOT financial gain like one of the reviews mentioned! Great Dr. ,Great person!
Dr. Acevedo is the most caring, diligent and trustworthy doctor we have ever encountered. He takes action where others dawdle. His staff are superlative also, very efficient, caring and thorough. I cannot say enough good things about this truly wonderful, knowledgable and dedicated man and his staff!!!!!!!
Dr Acevedo was the first doctor I could find, after searching for several months, who listened to me and responded to my concerns. This happened over two years ago. He put me on a path to treatment that continues to be successful for prostate cancer. He is very knowledgeable and I found him to be very helpful. He truly seemed to care about me, and I expect that is true for all his patients. He is one of the good guys.
Dr. Acevedo is FANTASTIC He listens and spends extra time with you if you need it. Ive been with him as a patient for 5 years and I wouldnt go anywhere else . I put my life into this mans hands as well as his courteous staff. Love them All
Very disappointed with Dr. Acevedo. Felt very rushed and had his PA do everything. The financial office is horrible. Never once returned phone calls. Had to pay first before seeing the doctor. Only concerned with $$$ not patients. Save yourself heartache and go elsewhere.
Dr.Acevedo is one of the nicest and smartest men I have met in this profession in a long time. He makes you feel like family. He takes the time YOU need to answer ALL your questions put your mind at ease and makes you feel comfortable. His staff is fabulous and caring as well. Everyone always greets you with a warm and welcoming smile and hello

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
