Ana Hicks's Online Review Report Card

I had been having such terrible pelvic pain and cramps etc hospital kept telling me nothing was wrong. My primary care doc sent me to Dr. Hicks; she did a pelvic ultra sound and was able to tell me me fallopian tube was filled with fluid and she diagnosed me with PCOS and put me on Metformin. Which has helped with my symptoms a lot. Shes an amazing doctor; but i do wish she would truly listen more when it comes to what i want as far as becoming a mother.

Do not go to this doctor at all. She is by far the most incompetent doctor I have ever seen! She told me everything was fine and nothing is wrong with me. I spoke to a competent doctor after her who was appalled by this joke of a doctor and her "findings". I don't even know how she got her license. Second I had several scans done just prior to seeing her for annual. She said I need to go to ER. I ask why and she says she doesn't know. I told her if she needs any scans she can get all of those. She said no she doesn't need them. I go there and of course they ask me why. I tell them I don't know I was told to ge here by her. He calls her and comes back and says it is just for a scan. I tell him I already got that scan a week ago. He tells me if you already got one that recently you don't need another. He was surprised she would send me. I still got an insane bill from ER. She also refused to give me a copy of her report from her exam. Expect long wait for appointment.

I use be a patient of Dr. Ana Hicks, she delivered my daughter 11 years ago. She is the most Kindest Sweet Spirited person I had come to admire over the years. I had a miscarriage some years ago, and Dr. Ana Hicks was there for me emotionally, and mentally, she was very supportive during my grieving process . I appreciate her and the entire staff for what they do, and I will continue to be a patient until I'm old and gray. God bless the entire staff

Stripped my membranes with out any warning. Then my water breaks not long after. Coincident? I think not. I do not recommend her.

I went to Dr Hick in the effort to switch to a female doctor thinking she would understand the female body and empathize. As a new patient I expected that she would take time to review, listen and understand the issues. Dr. Hicks was dismissive, rushed and unprofessional. She didn't follow-up with treatment plan as expected. Even months later I'm proactively having to determine next steps that could be serious to my health and future well-being.

Dr Hicks is my current OBGYN dr and has been doing her utmost to whip me into shape to be able to have a baby. With a few health problems it was hard but after just a few months everything she suggested I did and it WORKED!!! She is patient and explains things to you with out making you belittling you, which I love. She is understanding and has a wonderful bedside manner. Would recommend her to all my other friends.

She does her job and I get what I need when I go to her

She insulted me by giving me a DIET to help with ovarian and thick cervix linking issues that cause pain. I even lost weight since the last visit. She never said it was a diet, but it specifically says "Make sure not to weight yourself until the 30 days are over." She assumed I ate wheat produce because "everyone does" and I said no, I'm allergic to gluten. She contradicts herself and doesn't care about anything other then her opinion as she gives you her personal views, but says "I don't judge" - absolutely atrocious experience. I left in tears. She was judgmental and rude.

She is very thorough so far as I have noticed. Reminds me of my last Gyno Surgeon in back Baltimore... But, seems much more familiar with some of the diseases and symptoms that I've battled with since the past several years. Although, I'm new to this area she's really helped to put my mind more at ease while I was allowed any questions or concerns that I had especially about a biopsy that she just recently performed upon myself that was of major concern. I was able to follow up immediately and was pleased to have all of my worries relieved with good news/results that it was nothing too serious... I appreciate the fact that she was straight forward about everything as well as understanding of my situation and never once did she make me feel inadequate like some other young M.D.'s Tend to do in the medical field these days... Today she gave me the Good news that Lab Tests came back negative! Thank God! She really takes the time to listen and is not afraid to express how much she seems to care about her patients... My husband and I feel truly blessed to have her as my ob/Gyn....

Rude, inconsiderate and lacking empathy. Terrible experience - will never repeat.
