Beth K. Rush's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Beth Rush is an excellent doctor. She is caring, kind, insightful, professional, and extremely intelligent. I saw Dr. Rush to learn if I was experiencing memory problems. After very thorough testing, we discovered I do not have memory difficulties. I actually have attention problems - A.D.D. Dr. Rush provided me with patient education, tools to help me manage my time and attention better. I liked Dr. Rush very much. She is easy to talk to. She knows the right questions to ask, too. Dr. Rush was very helpful to me. She has an expert team that helped assess my memory complaints. I highly recommend Dr. Rush to others. If I ever need her help again. I won't hesitate to see her.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I went in for an evaluation for memory issues and the report she produced resulted in dismissing a medical condition which I’ve had since childhood. Instead she created a diagnosis which was completely unfounded. I had to go to another clinic to be re-evaluated with my medical condition so that my family physician could prescribe my medication. The stress and anxiety which this caused not only me, but my family as well, has lead me to cease all visits to Mayo Clinic’s mental health department. I spoke to the nurse practitioner, whom I had been seeing for counseling, shortly after this happened. I asked her to contest the evaluation based on her knowing me as a patient. She told me it was “above her pay grade”. It is hugely frightening that people in these professions can make life changing decisions about one’s healthcare in just one appointment. Fortunately I was able to question this mis-diagnosis. The PHD does not indicate you’re good at it...

While polite and professional Ms. Rush is determined to slap a mental diagnosis on patients instead of respecting the real medical diagnoses by actual doctors. She totally disregards patient input as well while being condescending and dismissive. Really the worst sort of person for anyone with chronic pain to see.
