Everyone at Watkins Allergy and Asthma Clinic are great They take there time and listen to what is concerning you. I’m thankful to have them as my team to keep me healthy

My daughter was referred by her primary doctor to Watkins Clinic at Bartram Park for sudden onset of hives. The doctor recommended full allergy testing during the first appt on 2121 to determine the source of the hives. We requested the cost of these allergy tests prior to them being performed and was told that their precertification dept verified with the insurance we would only be responsible for a $45.00 copay.One and a half months later after all the tests were performed and additional followup visits were also required from the burns on her back she was given an envelope on her last visit 317 with a note from the billing dept to give to patient. She was informed that she would not be able to come back again until the total amount owed was paid. That was $2127.50 total for 4 visits. The precertification dept either didnt verify the benefits correctly or did not at all. The high cost was due to it processing towards the deductible and not a copay.We were not informed at any point of the escalating costs at each visit. The only response I received from their billing department is this happens more than you think we just put patients on a payment plan. This is not right that a provider can not admit they made an error or apologize all while not even being transparent about the costs and passing their employee’s error onto the patient responsibility. Total billed to the insurance company was $4052.Thank you for the unnecessary tests and cost associated with it. I paid the $45 copay for each visit as requested prior to the visit and now I owe an additional $2127.50. After all the tests and medicines in the end only Zyrtec knocked it out.

I have had major sinus infections at least 34 times a year puffy eyes and congestion during the spring and finally decided to see Dr. Watkins for the first time. Once checked in I was immediately called to the back. All the staff was very friendly. Dr. Watkins drew out on paper what could possibly be the reason for my symptoms in terms and ways I completely understood. She took the time to hear what was going on with me and assured me we would get to the bottom of it. After taking the skin prick test I already knew what direction we was going from the conversation with Dr. Watkins. Dr. Watkins came back once the test was completed and went over some options that we choose together as a solution. It has been two months and I have never felt better since my visit. Dr. Watkins changed my life for the better. Wish I went to her two years earlier.

The whole staff is always courteous and professional. Ive always appreciated the way Ive been taking care of and treated by Dr Watkins and her staff.

Dr Watkins and medical staff are all friendly professional and caring. Dr. Watkins is knowledgeable and always takes time to listen and asks pertinent questions to achieve a diagnosis.

I have been going to Dr Watkins for years. I truly haven’t ever had any issues. The entire staff is nice and knows what they are doing. Dr Watkins is a wonderful doctor. She knows her stuff. I can’t say enough good things about the Watkins Allergy group. Thanks you all.
