List of Brian J Mcgrath's Reviews
Well trained, well spoken, down to earth and highly skilled. Valued my team and spoke to me like a person. Detailed, not dumbed down, and got on his surgical schedule quickly and easily.
I felt so good that I went for an easy day of paintball with my kids at 5 to 6 weeks post operation and found myself lightly jogging once. It has been at least two years since I could muster anything faster than a limp. Stellar surgeon, surgical team and total hospital experience. Everyone at Kenmore Mercy treated me with professionalism and I would highly recommend a hip replacement with Dr. McGrath at Kenmore Mercy.
Surprised By the negative comments for Dr. McGrath. Granted, I haven’t had surgery yet, but meeting him and discussing my situation I was very impressed. Arrogant, condescending?? Not sure where that came from - I found him the complete opposite! Sorry others don’t share my opinion.
Dr. McGrath is the rudest and most arrogant Doctor I have ever been to . I had pain in my hip for 8 months...when I told him how severe it was he told me I was exaggerating . 2 months later I was diagnosed with Lymphoma/ Cancer in the form of a tumor that had grown on my pelvis bone (causing the hip pain) ..him and his UB ortho team , including Dr. Kuechle, failed to diagnose me (McGrath failed to even believe I was in severe discomfort. ) If I had not gone to Roswell park for a second opinion I wouldn't be writing this- I'd be Dead! Don't go to this man ..he does't give a care about helping people .
I have to agree with some of the comments about Dr. Mcgrath. He MIGHT be a good Dr and I will never know, but what I can say is, I will never step foot in that office again. I don't even care if he can make the blind see or the mute speak. It has everything to do with is ego and condescending tone, attitude and words. I have been to quite a few different Dr's over the past 4 years and I will say, he is in the top 3 worst of making you feel unimportant and not worth HIS time. Very unprofessional to do that in my book
After hip replacement surgery, I experienced great pain 2 weeks later and was unable to walk or bear weight on the surgical leg. This went on for almost 3 weeks, but never once did Dr Brian McGrath see me or call me to discuss the problem. I was seen by his practitioners. They were courteous but are not doctors, and also I never saw the same one twice in a row. After 2 weeks one of the practitioners suggested that I go to the ER, where after a 10 hour stay I received a diagnosis... it was inflammation. No treatment or followup by a doctor there either, just an ER resident. Subsequently went to my primary care physician where I received a shot and oral steroids, and was walking 3 days later. Shouldn't have had to put up with that much pain for that long. Shame on this practice. They are way too busy for followup care. But boy do they know how to process payments for x-rays and co-pays!
I have met many pompous physicians in my tenure but Brian McGrath is an unfortunate recipient of my top five list. There is an oath with medicine. It does not include ego. I would never entrust my health to him no matter his skill set. His ego makes him sloppy as all ego does.
I am glad I have this opportunity to post my horrible experience with Dr. McGrath. I wish I could post the whole letter I am sending to the office manager and Indep. Health. I was to seen Dr. McGrath for a hip tear and operated on me and did not fix the tear and operated on the bursa and was never told that was going to happen. Also, I was given 3 different length of time that there was to be no weight bearing (very confusing) and this is from Dr. McGrath himself and Dr. McGrath also told me that even though he did not fix the hip tear, I should be greatful the he fixed my bursa and then wanted to start a regimen over again with a epidural shot for my pain that he should have fixed in the first place. I will never recommend this Dr. and I have made that very clear to everyone I have talked to. Hopefully, I will find the right Dr. to fix my hip and be out of pain. He is not the only Dr. in town !! Do your homework !!
Great Doctor ! !
The chair was broken this morning and I decided to cancel my appointment but I had already arrived. After agreeing to wait and see what happened, I quickly went out to the shop but they called a few moments afterwards. I missed the call and I called 10 minutes afterwards and they told me that the chair was working so I promised to be there in 10 minutes and I got there in 10 minutes as promised. I announced myself upon arrival but after 5minutes the lady by the counter told me that they cant help me anymore because their 10 o'clock client was near, its was at about 9h40. I don't understand why they couldn't help me after waiting for so long.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
