Dr. Shapiro is a fantastic cardiologist and superbly aware of the needs of athletes and adjusting their regimen accordingly. Since I am a highly active person, my perspective is from this viewpoint: the need to keep moving and doing things despite my condition. With that in mind, Dr. Shapiro has great insight. Certainly he is qualified for all range of patients -- but if you are an active person - his wisdom cannot be beat. And since he's also a physician that also completes IronMan competitions; his knowledge isn't just cursory. Cheers!

I was so impressed with Jennifer Summers and Brian Shapiro. This was my first consultation in cardiology and I was ill at ease and somewhat stressed out. Jennifer was so sweet and engaging which helped me to relax and express my concerns. She was knowledgeable and a good listener as well. She responded well to my concerns with clear explanations. Dr. Shapiro came in later with a warm, welcoming smile. His intern was very quiet but also very welcoming. Dr. Shapiro showed an ability to recognize me as a person, not just a patient. He was thorough, confident and able to calm some of my concerns. Obviously this a great team that enables their patients to feel and important part of the process. ??????

Dr. Shapiro is a very personable and attentive physician. He spent an hour with me on my first visit for consultation, working up a detailed history -medical and lifestyle. He was thorough and comprehensive, taking the time to walk through my recent echo cardiogram with me, screen by screen to evaluate my cardiac condition, explaining the test results. I found this very informative. He then counselled me on how I can maintain good physical health. He is a natural teacher and compassionate physician -- one of the best I have had the pleasure of seeing.
