dr. tavanaiepour is very knowledgeable and a great nuero surgeon not gun-ho about cutting into you unless necessary I had a cavernoma found in 2016 and did a lot of back and forth wait and see, lets do the surgery with another surgeon who was also a good guy but he retired and i started seeing tavanaiepour who also agreed lets wait and see back in 2019 well the time came wait and see wasnt so much the option anymore and the cut into my head procress began, he informed me of the possible outcomes he was thoroughly informative and i chickened out a couple times but then the time came and he did a phenomenal job him and his brother at UF Health to removee my cav, while i am bummed i did receive slight weakness in my left hand as brought to my attention of being an outcome due to its location, ill take it, he is very confident the strength will return through therapy 10/10 if I have to have another removed he will be the guy to do it if i could leave more i would thats how well he is

We can not brag enough on the Doctor , P A or the Nurses , they are amazing took great personal care , so grateful that we had them . The whole hospital staff is amazing. Just amazing , Thanks for all your care and support

I saw the doctor two years ago for worsening numbness. He was extremely detailed in his explanation but I chose another neurosurgeon simply because he scared me so much and would not give any guarantee that surgery would help. He is rated very high in his field but he really needs to find way too talk with his patients in a way that doesn't leave them petrified. I literally left his office afraid that any misstep would result in total paralysis for me. My brother, who accompanied me, had the same reaction. We called him Dr Doom.

All good I got excellent care at every interaction with doctor, pa or other staff

Everytime I came for an appointment, the good doctor was very concise. Gave great information, and everything was fine at my visit.

Nurses were very personable and took good care of me. Everything was fine!

On August 28 th of 2018, Dr Tavanaiepour performed brain surgery on me, due to a fast growing meningioma tumor that had penetrated the left side of my skull, and reached the surface of my brain. The surgery lasted six hours, in which he surgically removed the tumor from outside my skull, then he went through the skull removing the tumor, dura , and scrapping the outer layer of my brain. Six days later I was at the YMCA walking the track. I have had MRI’s and follow up visits, with no return of the tumor and full recovery. Dr Tavanaiepour even called me at 9:00 PM giving me the results of MRI from that day. I thank God for my life , I thank him for Dr. Tavanaiepour who is such an outstanding doctor. I am doing now all the activities I did prior to the tumor, exercising, traveling, activities with my family, even space mountain at Disney World, life back to normal. Dr Tavanaiepour has provided the most wonderful care through out, and I will always be so thankful to him !
