Dr. Nottmeier performed my back surgery about 14 yrs ago...I would not want anyone else to even go near my spine but him!! He, to this day, is the best Dr I've ever had along with the best care I've ever received! God bless him!

Dr.Nottmeier was my saving grace! I had an infectious disease doctor tell me that i would be confined to a wheelchair the rest of my life due to sepsis in the spine! I went to see Doc Nottmeier & after performing a 7 hour surgery plus a washout,i am now walking again! Yes,i had to go to Brooks Hospital & Rehab after surgery (6 months) YET thank God,i am walking! Doc Nottmeier never gave up on me & i continue to see him for follow up! A helluva good neurosurgeon but an even better man....

The care I received before, during, and after my surgery was simply amazing. I have NEVER EVER witnessed, much less experienced , so many loving, caring, helpful, angelic, respectful, professional and just genuinely beautiful souls in one space. If you ever find yourself losing faith in humanity, then go to the Mayo Clinic campus. I really don't have adequate enough words to describe the level of treatment and care that I received during my surgery stay. To To All of the Doctors, nurses and techs that took care of me, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are an incredible group of people and the high standard care and patience you showed me is extremely appreciated. You are a credit to your profession and I feel blessed to have been taken care of by each of you.

How can I say this without sounding rude oh well I'll just say it doctor notmeyer seems to be very professional but not very sociable, prior to my surgery I met him one time for about 15 minutes which he explained the surgery to me and my son but I never saw him again, with that being said the day of my surgery he did not come to greet me right before my surgery and right after my surgery he did not come to me and tell me how the surgery went and for my follow-up I had a pac me instead of himself that I think is very unprofessional because us patients would like the reassuring words of our surgeon that doesn't mean he's a bad guy I'm pretty sure he did a wonderful job on my neck but you have to be able to speak with your patients right before surgery and right after thank you sincerely Lisa Santos

Great Doctor! He tells it like it is! He repaired a failed surgery from another doctor. His surgery stopped all the numbness and tingling and pain in my back! I highly recommend him as his talent and knowledge is superior! He is a true professional and explains your problem and what options you have. I have to say he is the Best! He will only perform surgery if you really need it. Thank You Dr. Nottmeier ...

I saw Nottmeier in 2020 for Lumbar back pain, Bertolotti’s syndrome. Spect scan ordered, Nottmeier tells me it is not my pain generator and sends me to orthopedic and RA. I get no answers, the same as when I searched at home for a neurosurgeon. We drove 6 hours to the Mayo Clinic bc I believed I would get the best care, I did not. Fast forward, I found a neurosurgeon who ordered a MRI of my entire spine bc he finds that there could be something else going on in my spine. Severe cervical spinal stenosis. Nottmeier could have ordered images to solve my back mystery. It really wasn’t a mystery, Nottmeier didn’t take time to listen nor diagnose. He wanted to put a spinal stimulator in my back without investigating where the pain generator is in my back. Save your time and energy- see someone else. Oh, he also called me when I sent an email telling him I was using Dr Jenkins which I didn’t ask him to call me, he CHARGED me to tell me he didn’t agree with Dr Jenkins.
