Highly recommend Dr. Abbas! He performed my bariatric surgery in November 2021 & my recovery went smoothly overall. I’ve had great success so far with weight loss thanks to frequent follow up appointments with Dr. Abbas & his staff along with my diet & exercise. He is very supportive to his patients & makes himself available to them.

Dr. Abbas is not only a compassionate provider but highly skilled in his art. I had a 5 star experience with my own procedure and my expectations as a Nurse were high. He is truly the RIGHT surgeon for advanced specialty needs. This guy is GREAT!

My experience with Dr Abbas and the office staff was great. This was my first surgery (hernia repair). He took the time to explain very clear how the procedure is done and answered all questions without rush. The surgery was done on the schedule time. Operating room and preop staff of Memorial H was really good. After the surgery I didn’t have to take pain medications. Dr Abbas is the best!

I am so thankful that when I was looking into having bariatric surgery to literally save my life, I happened to see a newspaper ad about Dr. Abbas performing weight loss surgery in Waycross. Although I ended up having my surgery in Jacksonville, the whole process leading to surgery was very smooth & moved quickly. From the initial consult to surgery day, Dr. Abbas helped me feel confident in the decision to have the duodenal switch. He’s a very caring doctor & takes the time to sit down with you at appointments & address all your questions & concerns. The dietitians follow up with you weekly & help steer you in the right direction with your diet. My surgery was almost 3 months ago & I’ve already lost 80 lbs. I’m very grateful to Dr. Abbas for helping to change my life! If you need bariatric surgery, this is the surgeon you need to see!

Dr. Husain Abbas is an Extreamly Smart Dedicated Caring Professional Surgeon. I have been seen by many doctors and surgeons before him doing many test to identify and resolve unsuccessfully my painful condition which over the last few years had gotten unbearable at times, I sat down with Dr Abbas and with in minutes of reviewing my records he had a plan and we proceeded, on surgery day he found what he expected! HE FIXED IT! Now other then healing pain at 3 weeks post op, which is very little, I am pain free and lost 40 pounds in 3 month's, my Blood Pressure has went from Extreamly High to Normal. I am getting my life back again! Words alone alone cannot say how thankful I and my family are to him and his team! You guys are the Best!
