List of Maged Hamza's Reviews
Dr. Hamza just verbally abused and disgraced my husband who has been going to this office for many months. My husband has several very legitimate health problems, both physical & otherwise. He’s had two back surgeries, an organ transplant and major stomach surgery. In addition, he has severe anxiety. He’s been on medications for years, all very well monitored by a variety of medical professionals including a psychiatrist and team at the Mayo Clinic. Today, he was asked to bring a letter from his psychiatrist (who is very esteemed and respected) to explain one of his medications, which he did. Dr. Hamza looked at the letter, called it “trash” and literally threw it at my husband. He then refused to talk to my husband any further and told him to get out of the office. My husband has since informed his psychiatrist who is absolutely appalled. If this man cannot conduct himself with patience, tolerance and compassion, he should absolutely not be in this role. Complete lack of decorum or maturity. Please do yourself a favor and don’t allow yourself to be belittled by this short-tempered, bad-mannered person. STEER CLEAR!!!!
INCOMPETENT!! UNPROFESSIONAL!! Dr. Hamza just verbally abused and disgraced my husband who has been going to this office for months. Dr. Hamza looked at the letter, called it “trash” and literally threw it at my husband. He then refused to talk to my husband any further and told him to get out of the office. He humiliated him in front of other clients & staff, who clearly became very uncomfortable with his awful behavior. If this man cannot conduct himself with patience, tolerance and compassion, he should absolutely not be in this role. Complete lack of decorum or maturity. Please do yourself a favor and don’t allow yourself to be belittled by this nasty person. Narcissistic, rude, condescending, unethical and disrespectful!!!!
Narcissist - complete psychopath - dangerous
I was a patient of Dr. Hamza's for many years. He is the best do
Most obnoxious doctor I have ever encountered. Does not listen and constantly talks over you. On first visit, with no knowledge of my condition or history, he started pushing his favorite pain pump and threatened to end my pain meds in 60 days if I did not agree to allow him to operate.
Was dismissive and distant. I felt like I was a bother to him. He made me consider medical marijuana as a treatment just to never visit that practice again. We'll see.
I have been a patient of Dr. Hamza since 2010. I have full-body/Cervicogenical RSD. Dr. Hamza is blunt and to the point. He does not sugar coat anything and tells it like it is. In the 28+ years I have had RSD, Dr. Hamza is the ONLY doctor that has been able to give me definitive pain relief and a better quality of life. We had to experiment with different procedures to figure out what worked for me. He believes in his patients and validates that their pain is real and will do whatever he can to help them. He doesn’t believe pain medications alone are the answer, so if you’re seeking pills I would not recommend him because you will be walking out empty handed. Dr. Hamza has place two spinal cord stimulators and four leads in me over the last 10 years and has been very professional and caring in that time. He will advocate for his patients when insurance companies are not willing to authorize treatments. If you’re serious about fighting pain, Dr. Hamza is who you need.
Those adjectives should never have to be used when describing a doctor. I have been seeing doctors for various reason for over 25 years and this guy is by far the worst. I've disagreed with doctors before but never have I had to almost cuss a doctor out in my life. I had never went to this doctor before nor had a every research his reviews prior to today, but from what I'm seeing over the years is that he is either a great doctor or an extremely rude doctor. Review after review describes the same arrogant demeanor being displayed. This guy questioned me like I was a kid. He questioned me about why my doctor sent me to him and when I said I assume, this guy had the nerve to tell me that you know what assuming does right. He basically told me that he couldn't do anything for me that my doctor was not already trying to schedule to do. I allowed him to continue with his rudeness until the end and then I addressed him. This guy needs to take a customer service etiquette, and empathy class.
Dr. Hamza was the best pain management doctor I ever met. Too bad he didn't stay in Des Moines.
Do not see this man. He is dangerous!!!!!!!! He is rude. Has no bed side manor. He suddenly left a practice with out follow up for his patients Please do not subject your self to him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
