List of Mayo Clinic's Reviews
Terrible. Particularly the neurology and endocrinology departments. I reached out to the Jacksonville clinic after local doctors could not figure out a major episode I had that went on and worsened for months. I outlined my issues in an email along with records submitted under the heading primary concern in which I explained the nearly five month episode of symptoms that presented as neurological but testing ruled out. I was very specific that neurological tests to include imaging had been done and that other than a pea sized meningioma which is harmless at this point nothing was discovered. I outlined also that I have disk degeneration of varying degrees stenosis and spurs all along my spine explaining that both a neurologist and a spine specialist had ruled this out as causing my particular symptoms. They assigned me to a neurologist who did absolutely nothing but repeat tests Id already had done. On to several other doctors. In the end they told me I have fibromyalgia. Just a few weeks later I elsewhere I finally received an answer. Do not let the look of the place or the efficiency fool you. These doctors rely only on blood tests and do not look are things that are at outer edges of normal. They dont at all assess you holistically as claimed. Most definitely do no listen to the patient. They only reason Im giving it two stars is that the some of the other functional areas were helpful.
Although this is a fantastic facility with wonderful caring with a wealth of knowledge doctors and nurses... the billing department NEEDS work and lacks empathy. Billing is constantly wrong After fighting with the billing department the bill was paid in full despite arguing that the charge was in error no one wants perfect credit to be tarnished. After getting a health advocate involved it was proven to be in fact billed incorrectly.. Mayo in turn had to issue a refund of 1500.00. If the multiple representatives would have listenedheard and gotten on the human level a lot of headache could have been avoided and a bad taste would not have been left in the patients mouth. Unless you are vested with your doctor look elsewhere for medical care avoid the billing nightmare.
I could write a novel on this place. However I will just state many many scans later and thousands of dollars and my condition is only getting worse. I was promised a doctor’s appointment the following week they said they had a game plan. The game plan is to get rid of me. They scheduled me 3 months out into next year. Do not come here they are unorganized and their testing very expensive. They do not care about their patients I warn you don’t come here Their neurology department is a joke.

My daughter died here in their care August 15th. She was only 20 years old. The cardiologist she seen WEEKLY told her she was doing sooo good... right. Then when she was admitted here we were told she was the sickest in the hospital. Instead of sending her to someone who knows what they were doing they promised 3 different surgeries week after week. I had to watch my daughter die AT 20 YEARS OLD. This doesnt even include all of the negligence. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
Attempted to self refer to an ENT doctor there they made the suggestion for a specific doctor and received a phone call yesterday informing me that I was not a candidate. Kind of like failing a job interview. I have Ménière’s disease in one ear fairly rare may be developing it in the other ear and also have a history of ear infections. They made their decision based on my short description of my issues in the initial form hoop you have to jump through just to talk to a front line person which takes a while. No one interviewed me on the phone about my specific condition. Reasons I may have been rejected I didn’t have a PCP or other doctor referral they have too many ENT patients who are in surgical need their system is just overloaded I’m sure the recent COVID flare could be a factor because they are Mayo. The entire process of interfacing with a frontline person and then finally hearing back that I wasn’t getting in took about three weeks which is not good given that this is healthcare. They should expedite that process. Cannot speak to the expertise of the staff or the overall system there if you do get in.
I have been a patient at Mayo for almost ten years and have always been pleased with the care I received. Two years ago I had some testing MRI and injections for back pain that radiates down my left leg to my toes. I wish they would have given me the heads up on my out of pocket costs. I got a bill for over $2500 which I am struggling to make payments of $150.00 a month. If I knew I would have to pay so much I would not have had the procedure done because I know I cant afford it. The worst part about this bill and procedure is that it didnt work Im still in pain physically now Im in pain financially.
Went there for preop before surgery. Very beautiful building and friendly staff. Parking is free but can be difficult to find a spot.
I had an amazing cardiologist in New Jersey that helped me with all of my diagnoses. I just moved to Florida not too long ago and I’ve been having a hard time finding a cardiologist. I really thought Mayo Clinic would be able to help me. Had a phone call intake appointment waited 40 minutes past the time that was scheduled for them just to tell me there are other medical conditions in high demand and mine wasn’t serious enough to be seen even though their website claims my heart conditions are the type of patients they work with. So you’re saying lack of blood flow to my heart 5 heart related diagnoses and 160 heart rate is normal when just standingwalking around the house is not serious enough? This is a sad world. I don’t recommend this place. Waste of my time.
The doctors here are amazing Found a diagnosis within 2 days of arrival after being sick and in pain for over a decade.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
