I feel like this office has become less professional in the past 1-2 years. The male dentist we saw (not Dr. Myers), was friendly and kid-friendly and the hygienist who sees my teen is always professional and thorough, but none of the other staff we encountered was very professional or kid friendly kid friendly (front desk or dental assistants). The dental assistant didn’t even talk to my 2 year old, let alone do anything to ease his anxiety (explain what was going to happen, smile, sing, offer reassurance, etc). She also proceeded to use dye-filled flouride toothpaste even though it is in his chart that we don’t use flouride. In the past, this office has always been great about asking at the beginning of each visit. We have been long-term patients here and have definitely seen a decline in this office our past several visits.

My son has been a patient over 4 years. The care, professionalism and attention to detail has been consistant! From the front desk staff to the providers, everyone makes you feel welcome. My 6 year old son loves going to the dentist.

I have taken my children to Dr Meyers for years. I now take my grandchildren. His staff is wonderful. They are great with kids. Highly recommend them.

I scheduled an appointment for my child a month in advance. With only 24 hours’ notice, they called to say they could no longer take her at the scheduled time. The next available slot that works with after-school hours is another full month away. This last-minute cancellation wasted the time I set aside and delayed my child’s needed treatment. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional.

I really like the actual dentist and assistants but they charged me $50 for canceling an appointments for my kids had been sick! They are pretty much constantly sick from Oct to march due to one being in daycare and my 3 yr old is on supplemental O2 which makes him throw up more when sick so even if he is a little sick he can't (and they def wouldnt want him to anyways) attend an appt where he needs to keep his mouth open.

If you don't do orthodontics, don't call your practice "Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics." It's that simple. I wasted my time reading reviews and trying to get an appointment scheduled because these guys say they do orthodontics on both my insurer's website and here on Google... but they don't! Apparently the doctor mostly works out in Middleburg and just phones it in once a month in Jacksonville so they have to refer all their orthodontics out. In fact, they had the nerve to suggest I drive an hour out of my way to visit that office as if I make a general practice out of investing that much time and energy to give someone thousands of dollars. If he wants my money, he can drive his butt out to Jax. I could have spent the last two days pursuing different avenues if this information were made available to me, so hopefully I can save someone else the waste of time by not seeking these guys out for your ortho needs.
