Dr Chen has performed two surgeries on my spine. First one was on lumbar when he removed bone and cyst that had severely impinged spinal cord. 3 years later he removed bone in my mid spine which had been causing such pain and spasms as to deny me any quality of life. Aside from being a gifted surgeon, he is an extremely kind and compassionate doctor who never rushed appointments and truly listens. I have made wonderful recoveries after his surgeries and have never had any problems with adverse reactions to any medication or treatment he had provided. I have several overlapping conditions and allergies.

Dr Chen performed a laminectomy on my 82-year old husband on January 15, 2020, just two months ago, with excellent results The lower back pain from stenosis is gone, and my husband’s legs are obeying him again. Before the surgery Dr Chen took a great deal of time to answer our questions fully & to explain his recommendation in detail, thus inspiring the confidence that all would go well And it did! We would give Dr Chen six stars if we could

I had a minimally invasive microdiscectomy at the Jacksonville Mayo Clinic in March, 2017. Due to a severely herniated disc, I had lost my ability to sit without sciatica pain in my leg. Dr. Chen was phenomenal from my first surgical consultation, the day of surgery and my post-op visit. I cannot recommend him highly enough. My leg pain was gone right after surgery. I started PT about 6 weeks after surgery to regain muscle stamina. I can now walk over 4 miles a day and sit through a movie.
