List of William P Cheshire's Reviews
Great doctor who listened to all issues and reviewed many tests done across various medical areas I have had with no results. This was my 2nd time seeing him, and he did many tests and referrals to many other doctors at Mayo Clinic. After almost 6 years, I finally found out what is going on with me and it would not have happened without Dr. Cheshire leading the charge to help me. His reports are very detailed and quickly available post visit. He also analyzes his patients and asks uncommon questions etc, which I think is brilliant to pick up on neurological signs from interactions and not all discussion from patient. I do not understand some reviews complaining about additional testing etc, as this is Mayo Clinic.. and if you are like me and needed to go as a last resort, you do not care about cost and will do what it takes to attempt to get better. I have the upmost respect for Dr. Cheshire, and Mayo Clinic will be the only medical team I will ever use in the future.
The doctor listened and responded to my questions in a way I could understand. Very kind and a real gentleman so I don’t understand some of the other comments (which seem to be the same ‘voice’). It’s a specialty that deals with difficult medical issues, pain, strokes, etc., so maybe it was by someone not coming to terms with their own health issue.
Dont waste your time at the famed mayo clinic. Go to the autonomic centers anywhere else. If youre going to travel for health care you probably shouldn't waste your time going to the bible belt of all places in the world and expecting adequate care
Dismissed my problem. Autonomic tester's alarm went off twice. She said it was the machine. No help from Dr. C. No appointment after loads of tests. Told me to go to another neurologist to get Mri brain results. Will not go back to the Mayo clinic. Overcharged for basic lab tests done in their lab. Said they were done in an office. Each building in Jacksonville is designated "office" ???? Nuts. 1300 out of my pocket for NO results. I wanted another referral to another neurologist. He MIGHT do it. What an ***. Mayo, your rep is going downhill fast. Glad I am not seriously ill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Inaccurately quoted me, was dismissive and rude.
He was wonderful and have me sound advice, when no one else did. His help really made the difference in finding out what was wrong with me. I am thankful I was referred to him.
Dude is legit a rare one like that super decorated much written priest that end up being the worst monster of them all. There are a few like him in history, see him you’ll get the hitler-dahmer-geoghan vibe like a Mack truck.. well insulated as they always are.. he can’t help but write stuff out there to find as they always do..
Before we visit anywhere, I check reviews. I saw some pretty unfavourable reviews on Dr. Cheshire and thought....no way...I cannot believe those, I will stay the course and form my own opinion. Are you serious Mayo Clinic! Cheshire is all you have for such a rare and important situation. William Cheshire completely discounted the terrible things I have been experiencing for the past year. We went for desperate help for a pure Autonomic Dysfunction of my husband which has nearly devastated out family. He wasn't even listening. Acted like we were making things up. Then lied in his report, as I saw others reported in their reviews. It's true folks, sadly. Honestly had we not experienced this individual 1st hand we would never believe what other reviews indicated. But what others have posted is true. We waited and strategized to get into this doctor who is supposed to be "The Big" specialist in to in the region. I don't wish what has been happening to my husband this past year on my worst enemy. Passing out every day is awful. This fool was hearing completely different voices in his head and reported such damaging b.s. I can not believe he is a Doctor. Who would do that? I have never had such a horrifying experience with any other Medical Professional and (I hate even call him that) then we had with our visit with this individual. He was very dismissive of my situation. We arrived with hope that we were finally going to get the help that we need and I got to share with you I wouldn't bring my pet tarantula to see this man. We are so dismayed and disappointed. How can this guy be a neurologist and a psychiatrist. It's baffling. Maybe it's his intention to not have people come see him because it's take so long to get in. isn't there a Hippocratic Oath that a doctor has to take that they should be abiding by? Perhaps he's been doing this too long and is totally forgotten what that is. This dictates that Physicians are supposed to uphold ethical standards. Perhaps he skip that. So back to the drawing board to get help. So disappointed! I absolutely hate posting reviews like this but it would break my heart I know that anybody else would be pursuing this in hopes of getting much-needed help and only to find out what we did. Please...run as far away from the thought of seeing this poor excuse of a doctor.
Good listener, but just because he works for Mayo doesn't mean quality care. He told us he would order lab test for B-12 and B-6, which he did, and WITHOUT telling us ordered almost $2,000 of additional labs! When checking out we also found out that he was trying to get us scheduled with other Mayo departments that had not even been discussed! Fortunately, we turned those down. Don't be fooled by his "nice" disposition, this guy is not to be trusted!!
Super arrogant. Before even meeting me he said pots was likely due to deconditioning. I’m a personal trainer.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
