List of William Tatum's Reviews
Simply put, the best of the best. Wisdom, humor, vast knowledge, compassion. Saved my life.
Dr. Tatum and everyone at the Mayo Clinic surpassed my expectations. Everything from checking in to actually seeing the doctor was so smooth and organized. It immediately put me at ease. Dr. Tatum himself was very attentive during my visit, allowing my husband and myself to ask questions and actually provided answers that made sense. He did not jump to change my medication like many doctors do. He ordered tests to get a full understanding of what was happening before making recommendations about treatment. This was an amazing experience and I am finally about to be able to drive again after more than 2 years!
Dr. Tatum simply saved my life.
Dr. Tatum has helped me so much after nearly 6 years of going from doctor to doctor with mixed answers (or zero answers) regarding my seizure disorder/neurological spells. He is compassionate, kind, and truly cares for his patients. He doesn't rush through your appointment and genuinely listens to your concerns. Dr. Tatum is an absolutely wonderful doctor, and I cannot express my gratitude towards him and his team enough.
My visits with Dr. Tatum are very good. He listens and answers/explains my every question with normal human language (not Dr. lingo that almost no one knows; unless you are also a Dr). I would definitely recommend him to any one that I know who is looking for a specialist in the neurological field.
Nice but spend enough timep
This man is an angel walking the earth! He saved my husband's life in 2003! The first doctor misdiagnosed it for 7 years and it only took Dr. William Tatum 24 hours to find the problem. My husband was not supposed to see passed the age of 21, we just celebrated his 41st birthday. Sending our love and good wishes. Thank you so very much and bless you.
I’m going to have to leave a review because I know there’s other people out there in the same situation. Myself and my wife live in Orlando, Florida and she literally out of nowhere developed grand mal seizures after the birth of our second child. We’re still unsure as to the cause of it which I would love to know but right now we’re focused on treatment. During her 4 seizures she’s been sent to a local hospital on Lake Underhill in Orlando where she has been seen by whatever Neurologist is on staff. EEG, CAT scans, MRI’s all return as normal. She’s also been prescribed a different dosage or combination of meds by each and every doctor she’s seen, so we looked around Orlando and central Florida area and we’re just incredibly let down with the scammers and pill pushers here in Orlando. Read my other reviews for some details. I did some Googling and landed on the Mayo Clinic and made an appointment as a Hail Mary just to see how it went after having a ridiculous visit with a doctor here in Altamonte Springs. After a month we made it to my wife’s initial visit and we’re kind of blown away as to how quickly and stress free just getting to the Doctor was, there was some waiting but it wasn’t terrible, very organized intake and initial height/weight/ Italy’s setup. And then straight to the Neurologist level. We met Dr Tatum and he had a pleasant demeanor, listens, and for the first time someone ( Mr. Tatum ) actually tried to do some kind of preliminary investigative prognosis. He questioned us, evaluated my wife, let us ask plenty of questions and was pretty much what I would have expected to have found in Orlando. I’m sure having the funding that the Mayo Clinic provides makes things much easier, but he has the right attitude for this field. My wife was calmed and reassured by him. We later went to her ‘Orlando’ doctor that had at one point tended to her at the local Advent Care Hospital and it was a massive disappointment. The bar had already been set by the Mayo Clinic. Her Orlando doctor did absolutely nothing to try and diagnose, gave us the “if you don’t do as I say I’m not the doctor for you”, and gave a new round of medication prescription. Needless to say the 2 hour drive is worth it from Orlando to Jacksonville to deal with someone professional. If you’re having the same issues it’s worth a shot.
Great Dr. With a great sense of humor, and he really knows what he's doing and really cares about your wellbeing. I highly recommend him. The best!
It has been a while but Dr. Tatum was great... He listened to you and advised accordingly. In my case, he believed it was heart issue that were causing seizures and not neurological issues and he was right.. This was after 8 years of being told, it was epilepsy from another doc. If you get the opportunity.. he is worth it.. PS to date, he is the only doctor, I have every commented on.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
