Dr. Tan entered his office and went to his computer and looked at scans. No eye contact with patient or family. Rattled off his evaluation. Stated the chemo. 1-2-3 phases. Not one ounce of empathy or compassion. Dr. anxious to leave but we requested an answer to our questions. He reluctantly did so.

I would give a 0 if was option. He had not reviewed records we sent to him. Asked us where were records. Rude. Arrogant. Uncaring. We went in for second opinion and got NOTHING. was extremely disappointed. Had high expectations hearing nothing but rave reviews from friends that had been to Mayo Clinics but we were horribly let down by this so called specialist.

I have been Dr. Tan's patient for almost five years. He is a wonderful doctor...caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. Dr. Tan never rushes through my appointment with him. The staff of Mayo's Oncology Department is equally wonderful. I travel four hours to continue my care at Mayo Clinic.
