Women's Care Florida's Online Review Report Card

I would leave 0 stars if possible. I called to make my appointment in January 2021. I was given a March 2021 appointment date. During the call I updated my insurance and contact information (recently moved back to Florida, hadn't been seen at Baptist in over 10 years). I verified that they accept my insurance with the office and my insurance company. I drove an hour to downtown Jacksonville for my appointment, with my 2 year old. I was told by the guy at the desk on the main floor my appointment had been cancelled. I called the office and was told that it was cancelled because they don't accept my insurance. I asked what insurance they had on file. It was never updated. I was told a voicemail was left letting me know it was cancelled, but my phone number wasn't updated, either. Completely incompetent office. I haven't heard from Misty Nipper, the administrator, or any patient advocate, either. I don't trust this hospital to have anything to do with my health when something as simple as updating patient information isn't done correctly.

Dr. Wechter has been my Ob/Gyn for years and I have nothing but high praise for her and her facility. I'm always treated with patience and care. I'm treated like a human being

This was one of the best appointments I have had in a very long time. We have lived in many states and I have been in many offices and this whole experience was top notch! Having been an office manager myself for many years I can say that this office was great! Very busy but on time, very friendly and polite! We all know this apt is not a favorite apt to go to but it was very pleasant!

Not helpful/not willing to work with you. Very money hungry! And front desk check out rep is not friendly at all...

I've was a patient for 20 years. Love Dr. Glass but this office is a nightmare to work with! One day they accept your insurance plan and the next they don't (my insurance didn't change, just their office policies) and will drop you as a patient without hesitation no matter how established you are with them. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with their patient care. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE.

I have been going to No Fl OBGYN for 26 years. They delivered my two children. I went Tuesday and was turned away bc I refused to sign a BINDING ARBITRATION agreement. My husband nor sons have ever been asked to sign such a thing for health treatment. It seems No Fl OBGYN’s parent company, Women’s Care Florida, is requiring all their DR offices to have every patient sign “an agreement waiving your right to a jury trial and agreeing to arbitrate all claims arising out of or related to your medical care and treatment”. I told them I wasn’t happy with this and they said if I didn’t sign I couldn’t receive services. I now must find another Dr. I understand the reason for this is that malpractice insurance is pricing many drs out of practice but this is not the answer. Women signing away their rights or denied service. This is a very scary stance and must stop.

Dr. Tanouye did not review my medical history before seeing me, and then dismissed me from the practice when I did not agree with her prescribed treatment. Further, she tried to bully me into giving me consent to a medical procedure and while she did so, she did not even attempt to give me informed consent or explain why she felt I would benefit from the procedure she thought was necessary. She violated my patients rights. I knew going in that I may need the procedure, but was hesitant for personal reasons - but I paid for it because I felt that if she could explain to me why the benefits outweighed the risks, I'd do it. We paid in cash up front before the appointment and despite my refusal for the procedure, I was still billed and required to pay for it. When I asked Emily, the billing office manager for a refund for half of that amount (since it DID take Dr. Tanouye ten minutes of her time to violate my patient rights), I was told that she would have to ask Dr. Tanouye if she would reduce her fee for the appointment and then never bothered to return my call. If I had insurance, this would be considered insurance fraud, as they billed me for services not rendered. Not only will I be contacting my bank for a chargeback, but I will also be considering legal action.

They really took care of me , even when i was referred to them late .. The female doctors are very nice Especially Dr Staci Tanouye.
