Saved my life. Open heart surgery for mitral valve replacement and repair of tricuspid valve. Spent hours before surgery explaining procedure. After surgery, he was there in the ICU to keep an eye on me, making sure I was OK. His office staff and his hospital staff are top-notch, caring individuals.

Great surgeon...great personality...hands of gold...I had a Myxoma and 3 bypasses...feel great...allways thankful to Dr. Katz and her secretary and wife!!! Thanks a lot Doctor Katz!!!!!

Dr. Katz is an extraordinary thoracic surgeon, and any hospital or patient would be lucky to have him. I had an aortic dissection that required emergency surgery, and Dr. Katz saved my life with 8 hours of open heart surgery. He is also incredibly conscientious, following up with his patients on a daily basis following surgery and putting in extensive hours to ensure that his patients are getting the best possible care. He is a dedicated physician who is passionate about his work and keeps up to date with new medical technology. I reside mostly in the New York city area and have been under the care of Dr. Leonard Girardi at Weill Cornell, one of the top thoracic surgeons in the world. When he saw the scans of my newly repaired aorta, he was very impressed with the repair that Dr. Katz made, and told me that i was incredibly lucky that he was there to do it. I have since heard about many other patients who have has the good fortune to have been treated by Dr. Katz, not only for his expertise as a surgeon, but also because of his dedication to his patients.

My husband had open heart surgery by Dr. A. Katz. He was wonderful and we are grateful for his knowledge. Outstanding!!! We are so blessed to have met him. Can’t say enough great things about him. I could go on and on.

I am a registered nurse who has worked with many physicians over the last 40 years … I have never met a Physician quite like Dr Katz …. Apart from being an amazing Thoracic surgeon who truly cares about his patients , his bedside manner is the best I’ve ever experienced. My husband recently underwent CABG x2 and from the moment of admission to the post op follow up visit in his office,Dr Katz was incredible along with his cardiac team . Thank you for all that you do and the wonderful experience that we encountered

Dr. Katz is nothing less than FIERCE! He refuses to accept defeat! He will do everything in his power to heal you. Your recovery feels personal with him. Dr. Katz and his lovely wife welcome you into their office upon discharge and you immediately feel like you are part of their family. He is simply brilliant and if there is a way to get you on the path to recovery, Dr. Katz will uncover it. Accept nothing less than the best and that is simply, Dr. Katz!
