Not only is Dr. Maxson great but he office team is always so amazing as well.

I have waited over four months to have a scope done by Dr. Mason. The day I arrived to Jupiter outpatient surgery center I was told the doctor would not see me. What a waste of my time

I have been a long standing patient of Dr Maxson's. I attempted to make an appointment for him and was told he had no availability until 2024. Their office scheduled me with someone I was not familiar with but was the only person I could get in to see this year. My appointment was on Friday and my appointment was at 10:30 I arrived at 10:18. I was handed a stack of papers(Huge). As I was completing them, people were complaining about how long they were waiting in the waiting room. As I was signing the four pages of financial responsibility in the back, one of the intake specialist shouted (literally) to bring me my papers immediately. I responded by saying hold on one second I'm signing the financials. She screamed no I need them right this second. I told her hold on I'm just signing my name. I completed signing my name took them up to her and she told me you, you will have to reschedule your appointment. I was flabbergasted. I told her that complete stack of papers is now filled out I checked in you already have my insurance. Not to mention I drove up from Wellington to Jupiter for this appointment. She said "that's not my problem the system canceled it you should have ran when I called. I wasn't playing." I honestly thought she was joking. I explained when I made this appointment this was the first one they had for the remaining of the year. She then proceeded to tell me what I can possibly get you in another time. I was so frustrated if you could get me in another time why did you tell me this was the last appointment for the year when I made it and it was a cancellation. She advised I didn't make that appointment for you. And then proceeded to try to give me another appointment the end of October. Not once, did she advise that I would have my appointment canceled if I did not have my paperwork completed within a specified time limit nor did she at any time say hey we need to see you now you can finish the paperwork in the office after the appointment while waiting for the doctor, nothing. No Advance warning she just canceled my appointment. I have never heard of anything quite this ridiculous considering I was in the office over 10 minutes before my appointment and I'm An established patient who already has my information on file. If this was such an issue why not send paperwork in advance or advise to come 30 minutes early. I have never, with all my doctors experienced this level of rudeness. I am completely flabbergasted. Dr. Maxson may be amazing doctor and I have nothing bad to say about him, but odds are you won't see him if you make an appointment with his practice anyways. Dr. Maxson is brilliant, he helped diagnose my illness and help schedule my POEM surgery in Shands. Dealing with his office staff is just not worth it. Go elsewhere. Unless you have a unique and specialized issue that requires Dr. MAXSON'S skills and plan to wait. 😔 If you know, you know.

The staff was really kind and explained everything. They also listened to my concerns in regards to my insurance. Anna was absolutely amazing.

May 2021 through September 2021 - Terrible care received. The first capsule endoscopy Maxson had me go through was done incorrectly as Aishia or he programed the capsule incorrectly and it never took any photos while it was going through my system. I was called a LIAR and accused of making it up - that the capsule was still there nearly a week later. Well, guess what? A week later at my appointment, I literally showed up with the VIDEO which is date and time stamped on my iphone, of the capsule STILL FLASHING A DAYS LATER IN MY TOILET after I had passed it. I was told by Aishia, one of his 'nurses' that it was MY fault that it didn't pass sooner and that it was "impossible" for the camera to be flashing still because she had 'programmed it for just 8 hours.' Well, we all know THAT was a lie/mistake on his/her part. We have the video to prove it. (SEE BELOW!) The funny thing is, I'd heard he was a great doctor! Bummer he wasn't in my case. The whole thing felt like a money-making scheme.

I recently needed a Procedure To help with my g I issues. I could not find a doctor who was willing to do the procedure in my home state due to covid until I found Dr. Maxson. I read the reviews about a poor bedside manner and very gruff exterior. I can see how this would be true and difficult . Please don't be fooled by this. I found Dr. Maxson and his staff to be extremely efficient available and caring through my entire process. The PA that initially helped Madia Gomez Was also excellent . Despite the fact that I drank water right before the procedure not thinking and caused a one and a 1/2 hour delay for my safety the Dr. and his staff Did not send me home and make me reschedule he stayed and did the procedure. He saved me when no one else would I can't say enough positive things. He's a very smart man extremely experinced maybe somewhat people immuned but he cares !!! I highly recommend Dr. Maxson . Dr. Maxson was very informative, professional, and listened very attentively to my concerns. We made a plan of action and I appreciate having a doctor that seeks solutions. I would recommend him and his staff to others looking for a gastroenterologist. The staff in his office was professional and courteous.
