List of Craig A Skolnick Md's Reviews
Staff was phenomenal and Doctor skolnick was very kind, and Phyllis was a very helpful front desk lady
Office Staff horrible, rude and disinterested in my problem unless I have an emergency which they determine whether or not it is serious in order to schedule an appointment with the doctor.
I have had Dr Skolnick for many years and he is always patient and answers questions. Lately things seemed to have changed. The office staff is the worst and the techs seem to come and go like a revolving door. This last visit I went in for a test and expected to see the doctor , as well. I was told the doctor would call me next day and talk with me. This is the first time I ever had this happen.
Dr. Skolnick and staff are friendly, professional, and efficient. I am so pleased with the results of my surgery. I highly recommend Dr Craig Skolnick !
Perhaps all the staff has changed, but my recent visit with Dr. Skolnick was excellent. The staff was both friendly and very helpful - I had [blush] forgotten my wallet. They found a "work around" so that they could retrieve all of my information from another provider. I'm looking forward to my next visit there and am baffled by some of the negative remarks here.
Dr. Skolnick was very nice but the office staff is just horrible! Will not go back!!
I have been a long time patient of Dr Skolnick's...in fact one of his first patients when he opened his office. I like Dr Skolnick...he is thorough and talented but I can't say that for his staff especially the office staff. They are not welcoming but more importantly do not call with a problem and need to see the dr right away. Had that happen today and at 8:30 am I couldn't talk to anyone but had to leave a voicemail for a tech who I was told would call me back. It never happened. I went to urgent care and if my infection doesn't clear up in 4 days I will go to another doctor. Also in the past I've shown up for a scheduled appt and was told it wasn't in the computer and I had to make another appt in the future. Also I've been overcharged according to my insurance but couldn't get a credit. It's a shame because I think Dr Skolnick is a top ophthalmologist but he deserves a better staff. Perhaps he needs to bring in another dr.
After waiting 45 minutes to see the doctor he rushed through my appointment and didn’t give me enough time or information. He had one foot out the door when I called him back to ask a few questions. He appeared to be in a hurry and was very abrupt. Dr. skolnick is arrogant and unprofessional. I will not be going back.
After sitting in the waiting room for approximately forty (40) minutes, I decided to ask how much longer it would take to be seen by the doctor. There were EIGHT (8) other people waiting for one (1) doctor. The front receptionist informed me that there were four (4) people before me. It would take at least another hour before I would be called. I then spoke with the office manager who was exceptionally rude and condescending. She informed me that the doctor is a specialist, as if that justifies the long wait. She also stated that the doctor takes emergencies and “walk-ins.” Walk-ins take priority over appointments made weeks in advance?!? I can understand an occasional emergency, but not being sixth in line when my appointment was booked weeks prior. I am a former patient of Dr. Skolnick’s and was treated by him approximately three (3) years ago. This is definitely my last visit to Dr. Skolnick. How disrespectful to expect a patient to arrive on time and then wait hours.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
