List of Daniel Joseph Caruso's Reviews
My review reflect what others have found. Dr Caruso is friendly, but his staff lacks professionalism. I was told to wait in the exam room by the Dr. so he could do a procedure and the nurse came in and rudely told me to leave. I tried to explain ans she was not interested. As I walked out of the exam room, Dr Caruso asked where I was going? The nurse looked at me and said to me, perturbed, to go back into the room. No appolgies! Since then I am getting someone else's portal records. I called because it is a hippa violation and thought they would want to know. They could care less and I keep getting this persons records. I called twice for blood work script, no response. Time to move on. It is a shame because Dr Caruso has a lot to offer, but wait times and time management does not work in his office. The responsibilty has to rest with him.
My father is 92 and currently in Medicare hence we were recommended by his primary care physician to see Dr. Caruso. He has been seeing Dr. Caruso for a couple of years but in the last months even after COVID-19 the office staff is awful and the office manager a completely incompetent. My father’s current appointments keep being canceled and when they call him, they call other numbers and do not have his correct address. Even though we have advised them numerous times. We are still trying to determine why my father experienced blood in his urine a month with no concern from Dr. Caruso or his PA. An MRI scan was done and thank goodness I can read, and it shows no detriment to other organs, but we are still not sure about his bladder or prostate. When you call his Physician Assistant it states not to leave more than one message, that she is completely swamped and she will return your call in 24 hours. I recommend to all calling Medicare, PPO, & HMO and complaining to drop him as a doctor
ive moved out west and recently had myself scoped and the new doctor was quite impressed with the lack of scaring and mentioned what a nice job he'd done. thanks again, 7 years on.
My family was going through extreme financial duress and breakdown and we were lucky to cover basic food and expenses. We were lucky to keep the lights on, the car running, and some food in the fridge. I was not able to proceed through with his protocol due to the loss of medical insurance and some absolutely devastating financial times so more than one appointments were cancelled. He sent me a CERTIFIED LETTER saying my 'non adherence to his policies' meant he cannot take care of me and called me 'non adherent' to his policies meanwhile giving me no breaks on his his fees, no out of pocket pay plans, and had no way to at least be counseled which I asked for. His fees are extremely expensive just to at least have a meeting with the Dr., which I asked to do but twenty minutes to speak to him in the office was out of pocket over 200 dollars! I only had questions and then needed a real way to pay! Beware! I've never had this exp. from any Dr.! Find another office who really cares!
DR. Caruso is a very caring, and brilliant physician. I have complete trust and confidence in Dr. Caruso
Six months to see a new patient. That is absolutely ridiculous. Based on the reviews it sounds like I am not missing much here.
Office staff is very rude. One office staff actually yelled at an elderly man that was confused and asked some questions, she was rolling her eyes and ridiculed him. It was horrible to watch. Visits are a big waiting game. They are uncaring even with emergency situations. The doctors visit was brief, quickly explains and rushes out. Then trying to get an appointment to follow up on his recommendations is ridiculous, you will never get in. It’s all a big waste of time.
Dr Caruso is a nice man, BUT, he misled me about the surgery I underwent and because of his poor surgical practices I am still suffering 3 years later and have been told that i will have to deal with my issues for the rest of my life. After having to go back into surgery a second time to correct his mistakes (he did not charge me for this proving he knew he made mistakes). Then to top that off he left surgical equipment inside me which I passed naturally 2 years later and was verified by another dr as a piece of a clamp used in Dr Carusos operation.I wrote Dr Caruso about this and he wrote me back saying “he meant for that to be left in me”. 2 other Doctors that perform the same operation regularly told me that that piece of equipment is DEFINATELY NOT SUPPOSED TO BE LEFT INSIDE THE PATIENT. I am going through surgery again soon to have his mistakes corrected, what fun needless to say costly.
Possibly the worse service ever. Over an hour to see a NP that did absolutely nothing. 3 weeks after visit, still no fax to radiologist to get my kidney ultrasound. Lack of URGENCY is profound.
continue to do so. Not only is Dr. Caruso and excellent doctor he takes his time and listens. Members of his staff like Tia who has gone out of her way to help me several times when I was going through very hard times and Laura and Amber are exceptional at what they do. In closing, if not for the doctor’s thorough exam, as well as his nurse practitioner, last year a cancerous tumor may never have been discovered to give me a chance to be cancer free today so thank you doctor and staff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
