List of Jason M. Cuellar's Reviews
I had suffered with back related pain for some time. I tried many things to relieve my problems. Though I only received partial relief, I knew it was necessary to have surgery. I was referred to Dr. Cuellar by a friend. I was very impressed by his initial interview with me in regards to my condition/symptoms. I decided to have surgery and I'm so pleased in how well it turned out. Within 4-weeks, I felt 100% back to normal. At 6-weeks, I'm back to my gym workout, carefully using lighter weights to build myself back up to my prior physical condition. Dr. Cuellar's surgical expertise has made my life great again. I'm totally pain free, with full flexibility in my back. Just a side note, pick the "best" doctor, not the closest doctor. I flew from AZ to FL for my surgery, it was well worth it. You only have one life, take care of yourself first and foremost.
I say this with SINCERE, SINCERE GRATITUDE!, to Dr. Cuellar. Thank you for fixing my neck in two locations. I now have my life back again! Whoever is thinking about scheduling to have any type of neck surgery, back surgery......you better schedule with Dr. Cuellar NOW!. He is going to get slammed with the quality he gives in every way. From his bed side manner to his approach with everything he does is the best I have ever experienced, and trust me I have had multiple surgeries. Dr. Cuellar is the Pro-Disc man!!! Instead of fusion I have always gone with the approach of never fusing my lower or upper spine. Dr. Cuellar knows what he is doing and he is a true blessing to have here in Florida. Im telling you, don't go to anybody else. See this doctor as he is AWESOME!!! From a very VERY happy patient. Thanks again, truly Dr. Cuellar.
Dr. Cuellar is the best. He is kind, attentive and incredibly well skilled. He explains everything very thoroughly, has tremendous patience to help you get comfortable and everything he promised came true. One of nest decisions in my life to have operate on me.
Dr. Cuellar and his staff are not only stellar, but they are life savers. In an ever increasingly selfish world full of greed I struggled to find a surgeon who actually cared about the well being of the patient over personal statistics. After fighting with insurance for 2.5 years, I was introduced to Dr. Cuellar through my cousin (a professional stunt man in Hollywood) who had a triple disc replacement surgery with him. As a 35yr old (F) I needed someone who understood my need for mobility, and as a complicated medical case (I also have Fibromyalgia and CRPS, and rare condition Con-joined nerve root) I couldn’t have prayed for a better surgeon. And I did pray, and God answered! I had met with 4 other surgeons all whom blamed away my condition on nerve pain, or something else ignoring the evidence on the MRI’s because it would have been too difficult for them to handle the procedures. They wouldn’t admit their short comings forcing me to overly advocate for myself and leaving me in unlivable pain and injury. I was almost full-time bed bound, had an incomplete microdiscectomy (due to con-joined nerve root-rare condition), countless epidurals, oblations, injections, PT, therapies, home treatments… you name it, I tried it. Within a month and a half or so (Due to insurance processing, and hospital scheduling), Dr. Cuellar and his staff worked to get the surgery scheduled I desperately needed to get my life back. I cried knowing there was hope again. I had a double disc replacement and insurance agreed to cover it! Thank you staffers!!! He even made sure the assisting physicians only charged what insurance wouldn’t have covered so the bill was manageable. As a complicated case I was in the hospital for a week recovering (usually shorter turn around for normal cases) and Dr. Cuellar stopped in personally to check on me. He even sent associates to follow up and called to check in. His staff were all friendly and knowledgeable and now my life is back on track toward recovery. They knew exactly how to handle insurance and always returned my calls or emails, especially Rachel and at the time Nick). It’s a slow healing journey for me being a complicated case but in some ways I’ve begun to heal faster than I ever could have imagined thanks to Dr. Cuellar. I’m especially looking forward to being able to slow dance with my future husband at our upcoming wedding. Thank you God, Dr. Cuellar, and staff for changing my life for the better and providing me the best chance to life a full and healthy life. I will never forget this gift.
From the time I first scheduled my initial appointment with Dr. Cuellar’s office staff (his Office Manager Rachel is outstanding) until seeing Dr. Cuellar it was such a pleasure. He is so kind and caring with such a sweet disposition and awesome bedside manner. He listens and doesn’t perform unnecessary procedures just to make money. He is very intelligent and has the education to back it up but is down to earth and easy to talk to. On 4/7/23 Dr. Cuellar performed two cervical disc replacements for my C 5-6 and C 6-7 of which I had previously had a fusion and it was unsuccessful (by another surgeon). Dr. Cuellar suggested disc replacements and also removing the prior fusion hardware at the same time for C 5-6 and lumbar L5-S1 which was giving me difficulty. His office staff (Arlene) was so helpful in getting everything scheduled and set up. The whole office is top notch. Dr. Cuellar follows up after surgery and cares how you are progressing as well as his staff. They are very kind hearted people and Dr. Cuellar is a prince of a guy. He truly got me out of pain and I am blessed to have found him.
Thank u doc! Changed my life with neck and spine surgery all in one surgery. I can’t say thank u enuf.
Dr. Cuellar's surgery was life-changing for me. After years of back pain, culminating in a year of being largely immobile, the artificial disc replacement has eliminated all of my pain. He really has given me my life back. In addition to being a great surgeon, he's an amazing person and the most responsive doctor I have ever dealt with. There really aren't enough superlatives!
One Million Stars! ✨ Dr. Cuellar gave me my life back. 8 years ago when I was 31 I was involved in a cycling accident while drafting. A cyclist in the front crashed and I did not have enough time to react causing me to crash as well. I fell off the back of my bike onto pavement at nearly 40 mph. I landed right on my spine. My life was completely changed after the accident as daily pain became the norm. I had to give up cycling and backpacking. Prior to the accident I was cycling 150 miles a week and hiking long trails like the Appalachian trail and others. I could no longer carry anything on my back or turn the pedals on my bike as pushing down and pulling up was extremely painful. I was bootstrapping my business at the time and did not have the money to have surgery but I did try physical therapy and chiropractic which did nothing. My L4/L5 was bone on bone with zero space between. Even putting on pants or other basic ADL’s was painful and I was never comfortable sleeping etc Fast forward to this year when I decided to finally invest in my health and found Dr. Cuellar after researching the best type of surgery for my collapse (artificial disc replacement vs fusion) and then the best surgeon. Unfortunately my insurance did not cover this surgery. This was a massive disappointment but I can honestly say that this surgery was worth every penny I paid. Having my life back is priceless. Now to the surgery itself. Dr Cuellar and his entire team were very kind and patient leading up to the surgery and explaining everything. I had my surgery at Lake Worth surgical center. Every member of their staff was also outstanding. I was terrified before surgery (I admit I did cry a little) but honestly it was a breeze. When I woke up I didn’t even realize the surgery was already over. I was discharged shortly after waking up. The crazy thing is that the day after the surgery I was already in LESS pain then I had been prior to surgery in spite of surgical pain. I was immediately walking (I actually had to keep myself from walking too much). I’m now just over 4 weeks post surgery and I feel AMAZING! I am still avoiding bending etc but I’m walking around 4 miles a day on the treadmill (flat and slow). For the first time in 8 years I can get my pants on easily instead of having to make multiple painful attempts to get my second leg in. Anyhow I could go on and on. I am hopeful about the future and my continued recovery. I said I would never ride my bike again (obviously some ptsd trauma there) But the other day I found myself thinking about maybe riding again. I’m happy to speak to anyone considering this surgery or Dr. Cuellar. My name is Joanna and you can DM me on instagram under @ashevilleglamping Photos of me and my bike before the accident and of the surgery before and during attached
My experience has been all positive, I had a life changing L5/S1 disc replacement surgery with remarkable positive results, better than I expected. Dr Cuellar is a brilliant spine surgeon!
Skilled, thoughtful, and excellent bedside manner. Performs some advanced techniques not readily available in many places. Grateful to have him in our area!
