I called to schedule an appointment in order to renew a prescription which needed a yearly doctor visit. The receptionist called me back and very rudely told me that they don't want me as a patient anymore. Simply because I did not follow up with a specialist the Dr. recommended. I was quite shocked over the phone and didn't know what she was talking about. Well, fact is, I did go to a specialist and everything was fine. My specialist was supposed to send the info to Dr. Saponaro, but apparently that didn't happen and now I'm being treated like a terrible patient and was hung up on. I don't know how I deserved to be treated so badly because of I not making a followup appointment... simply because I didn't need to ??? It's not like a was a no-show. What is wrong with you people??? Now I have to find a new doctor during COVID19, when no doctors are taking new patients. I'm going to end up in the ER now because of a simple migraine prescription that I cannot get renewed. Thanks a lot!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE!!!!!
This fat dimwit and his wife are only in it for the cash!!! How can you possibly set a good example at 400 pounds? He moved here from New York and set up his pension fund double dipping from the insurance companies and a $3,000. yearly FEE from his customers. You are not a patient you are a customer in need of fleecing! Give me a break what a dirt bag.
Only interested in the cash. Will order unnecessary test just to make a buck. Avoid this guy like the plague.
I am so impressed with Dr. Joe. He is a true advocate for his patients. His compassion, empathy and bedside manner is way beyond any expectation I had held for any doctor. I was amazed when I emailed him after hours, not only did he immediately email me back but he resolved my concerns immediately. I honestly couldn't ask for more. Thank you.
My first visits seemed OK, but the doctor has a wife who manages his office who is also a doctor yet unable to practice medicine herself. She would seem to brag about herself as if she had something to prove or wanted to qualify herself to me. After a few visits the wife explained that the office was now a concierge private practice and I would need to pay a base $3,000 amount anually just for the ability to be a member. This is after my knee and back pain was now being treated with Oxycotin. I hope I don't have to spell out what I feel was happining here, ....there was an eliment of blackmail to it that I had to pay extra. I will say that I really liked his friendly persona, but his wife appears off kilter to me. They should learn that when you treat from the heart, your business will prosper, their office was always empty. Perhaps shaking down your patients will drive them away, ...hmmm imagine that.
Our family of three used to go to Dr Saponaro and really liked him. Everything went well until the cost of my husbands medicaton went up. We called the Dr. to see if we could find an alternative. Mrs Saponaro called and referred us to another doctor because she said the Dr. spent too much time with us and we were't the only ones with financial issues. She also told me that because I wasn't following up with the specialists quickly enough for my medical issues, they didn't want me as a patient either???!!! What?? Who behaves like that? I should have gotten a clue when every time I go in there are no other patients and their file cabinet with patient folders behind the receptionist is half empty.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
