List of Paul Abreu's Reviews
It was the worst experience we ever had in a Pediatrician's office. Dr. Abreu was 90 minutes late to the appointment and when he showed up he didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. He was rude from the beginning until the end of the 9 minutes consultation. After waiting for so long my son was impatient and trying to get my attention, Dr. Abreu yelled at my child! It was so late and aggressive that my son started to cry immediately. I could go on and on with issues, but I believe this review already has enough information to justify the fact that I'll never be back to this provider.
We have been seeing Doctor Abreu for over 8 years, he is fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and caring. I have a very hard time believing these reviews that say the opposite are real and/or truthful. Dr Abreu is a wonderful doctor that I have trusted my children’s health with for almost a decade.
Dr. Abreu is incredibly condescending and incompetent. He ordered a full blood work up on my youngest due to her weight and told me that it’s child neglect if I don’t take her. Insurance didn’t cover all of the tests so $240 later, we get her results and (as me, her mother expected) they were all normal! Since there was no issue with her blood work, no one called to discuss the results. Also, not surprised. Unprofessional practice! Rude staff and incompetent doctors! If you love your kids, look elsewhere!
We will NEVER be back and we are filing against this doctor’s medical license. I terminated the appointment in the middle of it at Pediatric Partners in Jupiter today with all 3 of my children. THE DOCTOR (Dr. Paul Abreu) told my 13 year old she is “porking out” because she gained 14 pounds the last year. (On top of almost 2” of height growth, so technically she should have gained closer to 20lbs!) And he continued “you should be concerned about your weight. You need to start working out.” (She’s a gymnast with a six pack! And the tiniest & skinniest girl in her grade and gymnastics class!!!) She disappeared to SOB in the bathroom! I informed him his words were HIGHLY innapropiate! After a few moments of back and forth he Further insulted us by trying to say he was “joking.” Then He kept arguing with me!!! Even attacking MY size. (Please feel free to check out my Instagram (R Kate Churchill Walsh to see exactly how tiny and skinny she is!) Fearing what more he’d continue saying that my 11 & 8 year old would over hear with his arrogance, condescension and rudeness, I gathered my children and my teenage daughter from the bathroom and walked out! My kids said they’ve never ever seen me raise my voice let alone that upset. My 13 year old daughter repeatedly said “mommy. I hate if I even think someone is going to make a scene” (which trust me we all know about her) “but thank you sooooo much for making a scene and defending me.” Other parents in the waiting room chimed in about how horrible & how innapropiate he was saying that. In horror after seeing how petite she is! We sure do miss Dr. G! (He retired) Never going back. Dr Abreu needs to be fired! VERY glad for my husbands job right now and the fact that unfair as it may be. His filing a complaint WILL BE NOTICED and shoot straight to the top of the pile.
Dr. Abreu has been seeing my son since he was 2 months old. We had been told that our son had a misshapen head from his 1 month appt but it was not until we saw Dr. Abreu that he identified that our son actually had sagittal craniosynostosis and he would require a surgery in order to fix this birth defect. Since Dr. Abreu identified this so early, we were able to have the less invasive surgery (endoscopic) on our precious boy, which is less risky all around and involves less recovery time. The surgery went really well and our baby boy is doing great. My wife and I are so grateful for Dr. Abreu!
Dr. Abreu is extremely knowledgeable and because of him, our son was able to get a less invasive surgery for his brain to have room to grow. We saw several doctors before seeing him and no one was able to identify the problem - a problem which Dr. Abreu understood immediately. He called the best specialist he knew and got us an appointment ASAP. He is passionate, caring and honest. He is a very special doctor and our family adores him.
I just went to an appointment with this doctor and he is literally the worst doctor I’ve ever been to, he was very VERY condescending and arrogant. When I first walked in he treated like I was two and then proceeded to insinuate that I was lying..... I clearly have a swollen lymph node. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.
Horrible doctor. Should not see children! Misdiagnosed a child with clear signs of a emergency situation. Terrible and dangerous
Very arrogant , very condescending, and unprofessional . Should not work with kids !!!! Been there for so many years and we never had any issues with other doctors before !!!!
This doctor was very arrogant. Will not see him again!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
