My 9 year old son has been a patient at this office since a week after he was born and now my daughter who is 6 months old is too. Today I walked in at 4:10pm, they close at 5:00pm. They had me sit down and then called me into a consultation room. Only for a nurse to come in and tell me Dr Morales said she can't see you, it's too late in the day so you can either come back tomorrow or go to the ER. I forgot to mention that my 6 month old has a fever of 102 and is so congested she can't drink her bottle because she can't breathe out of her nose. I explained that I don't need a full consult I just want to have someone check and see if her respiratory tract is ok or if she indeed needs to go to the ER. The nurse told me what do you want me to do, everyone is going home, we're not an ER. Now believe me I understand the need to go at the end of a work day but how are you a nurse or doctor and you look at the baby who's clearly having trouble breathing and tell me we can't see you so go home and treat her yourself and come back tomorrow. Do you think ANY mother would??? At some point between when I started coming here and now, you guys lost your sense of caring and patient concern and became a typical everyday factory clinic. Nothing good ever lasts. I left this office and called my insurance company for another doctors office that they'd accept. They gave me a couple names and I happen to call the first one, I explained the problem and they told me to come in. Their waiting room was full, it took over an hour to see someone but they finally took me. It wasn't a long consult but enough to see what was wrong and what to do. Had anyone else told me this is how a small baby would get treated here I wouldn't have believed it.
