I am giving Dr Pastrana five stars, because they don’t have a higher rating, he deserves a lot more than five. He is not only a great surgeon but a great human being. He took the challenge to do my surgery to remove the mesh from an old hernia repair that had created a fistula attached to the small bowels. A surgery that a top UM doctor had told me was too complicated and he wouldn’t do it. I had the fortune to meet Dr Pastrana at Baptist Hospital in October last year when an infection had developed. He explained very clear what needed to be done and gave me the confidence needed. He acknowledged that it was a difficult procedure but nevertheless he was sure it could be done. Like he explained to myself and my family, this wasn’t a simple procedure but a project. It did required four trips to the OR, but thanks to him and his expertise I am here today alive and kicking, lol.

Excellent, very knowledgeable and great human being. Goes out of his way to make one comfortable and explain how the surgery will go. Myself and my family can’t thank him enough for how I was treated by him and his team. God bless him
