Best pulmonologist in Miami. Due to my chronic condition, after months of seeing different pulmonologists, Dr. Hernandez was the only one who immediately found out the real issue and was able to prescribe the right medication. He is not only an expert in the subject but he is also very kind, approachable, and always dedicate good time to listening and finding the root of the issue. Excellent professional, extremely knowledgeable, very attentive, empathetic, and assertive. He is part of a pull of doctors/ group with solid expertise that work together and discuss cases. His support team provides quality customer service. Well-organized management and office. I fully recommend Dr., Hernandez, my overall experience with him and his team surpassed my expectations and even though the office is a bit far from my home, it is worth it.

I had a very good experience at Dr. Michael J. Hernandez office. I was given an appointment in a speedy manner and the staff was very respectful and prompt over the phone and when I arrived for my appointment. My wait time in the waiting area was not even 10 minutes. Once inside my vitals were taken by a nice technician. The Dr. was professional, courteous and showed interest about my past illnesses and how he could help me now and in the future. The young man that did the Pulmonary Function test was amazing! Incredibly patient and knowledgeable with the new equipment. I was so pleased that I could actually have the test done that same day hassle free. After my appointment I encouraged my husband to also see the doctor.

Last year 2022, i was hospitalized 3 times. My oxygen saturation level was extremely low. In addition, I had shortness of breath. I saw several doctors, none of which could help me. One of them told me I "needed to walk regularly." The problem was that I couldn't breathe if I walked or did any exercise. I attempted to get an appointment with Dr. Michael Hernandez and I was unable to get in. They even sent me an associate who was not helpful. When I finally made it in to Dr Hernandez's office, he realized that indeed, I had a problem. He ordered oxygen use at home, and it was a Godsend. I'm able to walk "with the oxygen" and it makes a difference. In addition to being an EXCELLENT physician, Dr. Hernandez's bedside manner are the greatest. I'm so finally I waited and I was able to be treated by Dr. Michael Hernandez. I recommend him HIGHLY. His office staff is also very helpful and kind. Alina N. Avila

Dr Michael Hernández and Dr Sevilla saved my life….I was in intensive care in the Baptist ICU intubated for nine days and had it not been for Dr. Hernandez I would still be hooked on to some sort of respiratory aided machine or worse. My respiratory system shut down completely due to an overdose of morphine administered by the Baptist ER staff. The ICU staff was not sure what was happening to me and every day that past my family was told one misdiagnosis after another. Until my family asked Dr. Michael Hernandez to step in, he immediately demanded that I be taken off the sedation medication I was on to get my lungs to start working toward breathing on theirs own. Three days later I was taken off the vent and four days after that I was home. Thank you Miami Pulmonary Specialists specially Dr. Michael Hernandez for reuniting me with my family. I will forever be grateful.
