This was an email to my attorney. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I just wanted to give you my feedback about my dr’s appointment today. It was a really bad experience, Dr. Figueroa is a very arrogant person and as a Doctor my personal impression was that he is very unprofessional, literally this is what happened: First of all he told me that i was late which is not true, my appointment was scheduled for today at 4pm and I checked in at 3:35pm. Bottom line he was upset because the appointment was very late, unfortunately that was offered to me I didn’t picked the time. When i walked in into his room, first thing He told me that they have called me 17 times, right away I checked my phone and I asked him if they left any voicemail and he replied that he is not the one who makes phone calls, early in the morning they texted me to confirmed my appointment so I asked him why they didn’t texted me or left me a voicemail, he didn’t know what to say; it is not my fault that he wanted to see me a little bit earlier but i was already at his waiting room on time for my appointment. Then he starting questioned me about why I requested to see him and so my first question was if he got my medical records from your office and he told me no, you know me and right away I told him that I did have my medical records in my IPad and I handed to him and I showed to him and what he did was browsed up and down ( about 20 pages) it didn’t take not even a minute and he handed it back to me and he asked me why are you here ? what is your problem ? I started to explaining what was the problem that I been dealing with since the surgery and I was in a lot of pain , he was looking at me with a sarcastic way in his face like he didn’t believe me and I just stopped taking to him because I didn’t feel comfortable anymore and I told him at that point I couldn’t take anymore his attitude and so I got up and walked away from the office, the visit last only less than 5 minutes, I don’t need situations that makes me feel like a child I am a grown up man and I don’t need this and I am not going to tolerate to anyone to miss tread me like that, In the future I won’t to see any charges from this Dr’s office! That was a wasted of time. At this point I am very disappointed and frustrated because I do know that your intentions was to helped me out with my situation and I thanked you for that but unfortunately didn’t work that way. I am still in pain and as a right now I don’t know what to do.! Please keep me posted with the outcome Thank you for your assistance,

Dr. Figueroa comes across as an extremely knowledgeable doctor on first visit. He performed a discectomy and placed rods to correct scoliosis which required two surgeries. When I woke from the first surgery, my right leg was paralyzed. After the second surgery, I awoke to more back pain than I had prior to surgery. I now am in the process of finding another doctor to correct the mess he created. I would strongly urge people to seek an alternate neurosurgeon.

He sat with me and my family, thoroughly reviewed various options and made us all feel good with the minimal invasive surgery he suggested. Day after lumbar fusion, I am standing. a couple of weeks after, I am flying back home. no more lumbar pain for me! my whole family owes Dr Santiago. thaaaanks for your kind matters and excellence in your service.

Great Doctor, he has operated me twice, very succesfully

I suffered 1 year of non stop back pain taking all types of drugs getting up at 3am from the pain went to all types of doctors took them the MRI all i heard was you need to strech more then a co worker told me how this Doctor save him from the same i was going through went to see him he look at the MRI and said here is your problem i did not see that in other doctors i can tell right on the spot he is the real deal. Did the surgery he fixed me.To me he is a pro,God bless him and his family.

If today I can live as a normal person doing simple things like stand up, bend to pick up something, even walk and run is thanks Dr. Santiago Figuereo, had performed an excellent surgery on my L5 hernied disk, that nobody wanted to touch So I do recomend him to anybody that is suffering for problems in the spine.
