List of Joanne Mahoney's Reviews
Dr.Mahoney is wonderful, caring and she takes the time to explain things to you and her treatments. I also love how she jokes with you. I recommend her to anyone. Thank you Doc.
Mahoney is never on time. You have an 11am appointment and she comes in at 12:30. No apology, no explanation. Zero respect for patients time. She breaks confidentiality with doctor friends. She violates HIPPA by refusing to release your own medical records to you. The office itself is very disorganized. Stay clear and find better medical care with a more respectful and organized office.
Best physician hands down.
vile human being self-centered arrogant disrespectful condescending and rude. absolute horrible bedside manner worst doctor I've ever been to in my entire life.
Long waits in the reception are followed with more waiting inside examination room. Once waisted 3 hrs waiting..... Doc has a loud voice and she tends to yell instructions to her receptionist sharing that person's condition with the whole office. My final straw was the lack of follow ups in just about everything. She's a good person and means well. Best wishes doc...you're fired.
Don’t expect much. She had me come in an hour early because they had a cancellation and yet still managed to have me wait 2.5 HOURS in the exam room waiting for her. She was outside, behind her office walking and playing with her dogs. Still, I let her do the exam. She sent me for testing on multiple occasions and each time, getting results took over a week, despite the results being available the next day. She has a gag order on the only local hospital, so if you are a patient there, they CANNOT and WILL NOT be able to discuss your care directly with you, the patient. You have to wait to hear from her, and that can take days. Finally, when she can’t figure out what’s wrong with you, she calls you and tells you she’s going to stop seeing you and she has also convinced another local doctor that she had been working with to cease seeing me as a patient too. She doesn’t call me, the actual patient, she calls my husband, who she compliments when she sees him, in front of me.
If your goal in life is to have your medical account go to collections then please go to this doctors office. My insurance covers my yearly preventative exam which includes the doctor and the lab. The doctors office put in the wrong codes for the lab which resulted in an amount due of $35.50. I have been working with the doctors office on this bill since April and was told in April and May after 2 requests for payment from the lab that yes, it should be covered and that they-the doctors office-would take care of it. They did not as another bill came in June. This time I went over to the office showing them past bills where it was covered. Again they told me they would take care of it. They did not. This is now in collections since the doctors office did nothing. This week I went back to the office and they told me the Doctor had said she is not going to put the bill back thru since it was only for $35.50 (gee, just discard it.........real compassionate) but they would again speak to the doctor. And guess what? They never called me back! The one thing they are consistent at is disappointing the patient. Obviously, time for a new doctor and a competent office staff. Lesson learned.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
