David Towne's Online Review Report Card

I LOVE Dr. Towne! I met him in 2012 at a wedding- I was sitting at the table with him at the reception. I instantly was intrigued because before my career, I was a dental assistant for almost 11 years full time, so my background working for Dentists was extensive. Being in the dental field, I got to experience working with great Drs., horrible Drs. and Drs. that were just out for the $$. I'm still amazed that people don't do enough research before trusting in someone who could make or break their quality of life in their oral health. I knew after talking with him for awhile that he was kind, (always ask a Dr. how long his staff members have been with him; it is very telling in how staff is treated), educated and just enjoyed his profession and flat out doing the right thing. I decided to drive the 35 minutes from Dearborn to Plymouth to make Dr. Towne my new DDS. Over the years I've needed regular cleanings, fillings, crowns, and a referral to see an Endodontist. His staff are all friendly (and not overly "annoyingly" friendly, either), super helpful and they get you back quick without long waits (major brownie points) and just do the right thing in general. He won't do things that aren't needed and will always be honest with you. In an age where money and greed rule society, it's nice to be able to trust someone with my oral health knowing he will always treat me right. THANK YOU Dr. and staff!

I went to Advanced Family Dentistry a lot as a teenager. They were extremely helpful when it came to finding a solution to keeping my crowns in place. Ever since having work done by Dr. Towne, I haven't any issues. Can't tell you how thankful I am for that. They also do a great job with teeth cleanings, hygienists are thorough and friendly.

I had my first experience with Dr. Towne and his staff today and will most certainly be going back. I needed to get in before the end of the year due to insurance changes and they were able to squeeze me in. Upon inspection, I had major cavities that needed to be filled (not surprising given my pop addiction and lack of dental insurance for a few years). Upon hearing that I was losing insurance, he gave up his lunch hour and filled as many teeth as possible. I've been to a lot of doctors and dentists in my life and his service was beyond caring and excellent. Very few professionals, in my experience, would voluntarily give up their lunch just to work on a patient that they were not familiar with. I am incredibly grateful and he has a new patient!

Finding a dentist for my family in a new city made me nervous. We chose Dr. Towne's practice based on location, but we keep going for the quality of service. He and his staff not only made us at home on our first visit (three years ago!), they continue to provide top notch dental service with genuine care. The hygienists are gentle and friendly, and the desk staff are helpful with schedules and insurance plans. I highly recommend Dr. Towne for adults and children!

I have a terrific fear of dentists. Dr. Towne was the first, and only, one of four, that really took my fear into consideration. My kids are very comfortable with him, and Rita is our favorite hygenist. I can't say that I adore the office staff, but I don't find them to be terribly rude. (Then again, I have found very few doctor's receptionists to be the most pleasant of people.) Personally, I would be willing to put up with them, anyway, to go to such a caring dentist, who also does fine work.
