List of Gerald Ginsberg's Reviews
Dr. Ginsberg was very professional and helpful! He took his time and really listened to me. The receptionist was darling.
I have been seeing Dr. Ginsburg since 2014 and have been very satisfied with his care. I was in trouble with my thyroid, although my previous General Dr. was treating me it was not enough for my condition. My condition kept getting worse. I would go from having a goiter to having a very low basil tempter and back again over the course of years. I was tired all the time. I could not drive from Miami to Marathon without pulling over for a nap. So I tried to figure things out on my own. My condition obviously did not get better. The first time I saw Dr. Ginsburg he was straight forward with me and stated how the natural thyroid pill I was taking was unstable, and that no matter how holistic I wanted to be, I needed to use the synthetic thyroid medication in order to stabilize my condition. Then the news. Just by the examination and conversation, without a blood test he said, “You have Hashimoto's disease” and he handed me literature. He also said, “But I will give you a blood test to confirm.” He then informs me that it is a hereditary disease. So I encouraged my mom, sister and children to be tested. 3 out of 4 also had Hashimoto's disease… caught early. I am grateful for the accurate diagnosis. I am very thankful that the Dr. Ginsburg and his wife Roberta spend their time in the keys. I appreciate that I can text Roberta with my questions and that she will get back to me in a timely manner. She will also send me friendly reminders.
Called to ask a quick question, and try to set up an appointment. Worst attitude of any doctor I have ever spoken with. No chance I would see him.
First of all, if you’re diabetic stay away from this man. Especially if you are type one and over weight. He will not believe your diagnosis and try to misdiagnose you without proper lab tests. You said you believed I’m type 2 because I’m Hispanic? I’m beyond disappointed from today’s visit and you should be ashamed of yourself. You are a disgrace to doctors every where and the only reason I went to you was because you were my very last choice. You are disgusting and I will NEVER come back to your practice again. You belittled and disrespected me the moment I sat down in your office. If you don’t like your profession go find another one because this is not it. Honestly Gerald I hope you get your license revoked, you don’t deserve the title of Doctor. I’d rather waste my gas and find an actual professional in Miami. Bless your heart, disrespectfully.
During my 20 minute consultation with Dr Ginsberg, he briefly glanced over my medical records from my PCP and basically called my PCP a 'quack'. I have been with my PCP for over a decade and he's the best doctor I've ever had. My only reason for going to Dr Ginsberg was because we recently moved to FL and I thought seeing somebody in person for my Hashimotos was important to my healthcare. When I told him I'm only eating 1500 calories a day he straight up called me a liar. I have been documenting all my food for over a year, I also have severe food allergies, so this is important for me to know what triggers allergic reactions. Dr Ginsberg was smug and not sympathetic at all. His bedside manner could be improved upon. The visit was a waste of time and money. I will continue my care with my PCP over the phone, and I do not recommend Dr Ginsberg.
I trusted him and betrayed me. Don't trust the medical advice that comes out of his mouth.
Do yourself a favor and drive up to Miami and see a real diabetes specialist endocrinologist. This Dr. Gerald Ginsberg is an incompetent mental case, don't let his last name fool you. What a psycho, he fits right in with the local hospital, Lower Keys Medical Center mindset, money first yet incompetent! He has messed up other patients without any regard. He bad mouths the local doctors, even though they are the ones that refer him. He's so delusional, thinks he's the only "real" doctor on the island, puts down the others, but he himself doesn't know what he is doing, hit or miss. I'm so glad I took the time for me and my friend, another of his ex-patients, to see another specialist out of town, If you value your life, you will too, believe it.
I normally don't leave reviews, let alone negative ones, but after my bizarre experience with Dr. Ginsberg, I just had to warn others. Wish I had found this website and read these reviews, since I had the option of going to another specialist out of town, but instead convenience got the best of me, and I went to see Dr. Gerald Ginsberg since he was here locally. It turned out to be a big mistake. I totally agree with the other patients in that he definitely has an attitude problem. He acts like some arrogant hot shot doctor, but this guy hasn't earned the right to be arrogant. Heck, I don't mind if the doctor is an arrogant sob as long as he knows his stuff and can help me get better, a lot of doctors are like that anyway. Instead with Dr. Ginsberg you get the worst of both worlds, he is arrogant and incompetent, really the absolute worse combination you can find in a doctor. Just from reading you can tell Dr. Ginsberg's positive reviews here are fake, fake, fake.
Dr. Gerald Ginsberg is obnoxious and will mess with your medications just so he can say he did something and charge you for it! After seeing him I began to get worse, so I went to a specialist out of town and discovered that Dr. Ginsberg had misdiagnosed me! He's got a chip on his shoulder alright, and he'll mess you up if you let him. I'm filing a complaint with the State Board of Medicine.
I’ve know Dr Ginsberg since he first started practicing. I find him knowledgeable, takes the time with you and explains things.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
