List of Ajith Potluri, Md's Reviews
I honestly don’t even know where to start. Their doctors are amazing but their staff is so unprofessional. I’ve been a patient for almost 3 years and never would have thought of switching providers but the Doctors, Managers and Staff all need to be on the same page and take care of their patients. I called to get an appointment to have FMLA paperwork filled out. The receptionist booked me an 8:00 am appointment with the doctor and I paid my $115 copay. The doctor comes in surprised to see me because apparently, the doctors don’t handle FMLA paperwork and it’s the manager that handles it. This was never explained to me but I was reassured that even though I wasted my time and money coming to see her, she’d get the paperwork to the right person. I follow up with the doctors office a week later to see if the paperwork had been filled out and they took no ownership of the fact that they made the mistake with the 8am appointment and that I never spoke to the manager but if I wanted to have my FMLA Paperwork filled out, then it would be $100 and take 10-15 business days to get filled out. So on top of the $115 that I was never supposed to pay, I paid another $100 for my paper work to be filled out. Now when I was with my doctor, we discussed my FMLA and how it was to be filled out and she assured me that the manager would call or email me about the paperwork so that we could ensure that it got to Sedgwick properly. I had gotten no calls or emails and it was sent off to Sedgwick incorrectly. Sedgwick called me to tell me what needed to be fixed and I called the doctors office to have them correct it and I was met with opposition again. I was basically told, that what was on there, is on there and it didn’t matter what the doctor and I discussed, it’s up to the manager on what type of accommodations I get for FMLA. If I’m paying $100 for the manager to fill out paperwork then why am I not allowed to call you to fix it? I let them know that I would be switching providers because of this. I have never in my life been treated like that by staff, especially in a mental health space.
Terrible staff Dr is more concerned with being a teaching facility than a doctors office Forgot my refills last visit Became a nightmare Dealing with the staff is absolutely like pulling teeth
Last time I was in the doctor forgot to send in my refills they ignored three requests from my pharmacy The staff is a bunch of total assholes The doctor is more concerned about being a teaching facility than about his patients
Forgot my refills last visit My pharmacy contacted them 3 times and they didn’t respond I finally called and reemed them out after calling them for over an hour The staff is terrible The doctor cares more about being a teaching facility than his patients I have already found a new doctor
Horrible and rude staff. Had a new patient appointment and was immediately greeted with attitude. Then while trying to get set up to check in was more of the same attitude and rudeness. I left without seeing the doctor , I refuse to have my son seen at such a poorly managed practice.
My husband has been a patient for several months. Dr. Potluri is attentive and does not rush his visits. Since being under the doctors care my husband has been stable. I’m writing this review because I’m sincerely heart broken and distributed by recent events. My husband is a young man that due to brain injury has Dementia anxiety and depression.. I applied for his social security benefits. So as per the case manager the doctors recent visits notes haven’t been received. I desperately called the office to check on the status of this records request. I spoke to who I think was the office manager. I had the most horrible experience. It came to the point i begged this woman to please resend these documents; she refused. I’m extremely desperate at this point because it has become extremely difficult to care for my husband with one sole income. She treated me with telling the doctor and threatened me with the office policy and treated me with HIPPA policy. Being a health care work I counter responded with facts I know she became extremely defensive and refused to help me. A few days later I received a letter with the office policy highlighted terminating my husband from the doctors care. I’m disappointed that I didn’t receive any compassion or consideration for my situation. What happened was totally unprofessional. These event is detrimental to my husbands health and safety. Finding and reestablishing my husbands care will set back his progress. This should have never occurred if this office manager thought about the patient and the family before she responding with her ego. So before becoming a patient think about your safety and progress because it can be compromised if the staff thinks you are rude. Mental health is delicate and can mean life or death.

After 4 visits, I walk into this office and I'm greeted by name. BY NAME! Everyone is so nice and so efficient. And that's before you see the doctor. Dr. Potluri is a kind and knowledgeable man. If I had a preconceived idea of a psychiatrist, it would be him. There is no miracle cure to mental health issues, but he and his staff work with you to help you get better. I highly recommend.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
