Probably the most caring physician I have ever been to see. Dr. Nunez took the time to go over all my CAT Scans with me to make sure I understood the situation I was facing. I would not only recommend this Doctor, but would go further and say if you have need of a Thoracic Surgeon, than you really must see this Doctor.

Dr. Nunez was assigned to my husband’s medical case. My husband had 7 fractured/broken ribs. Dr. Nunez was a God send. He came in with excellence. He is very professional and kept the family fully aware of procedures. He performed a successful surgery on my husband to prepare 4 of the damaged ribs. He was very attentive & caring. If I could give a 10 star rating, it would be well-deserved! Outstanding & excellent service. Thank you so much Dr. Nunez!

Dr. Nunez treated me with consideration and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his patients. One of his strongest skills is his ability to communicate with patients well. He inspires confidence in his work and I especially appreciated his candor and ability to look beyond what the charts tell him and work with the person before him.

Rarely do I leave a review for anything including physicians, however, my review on Dr. Nunez is so warranted. I was referred to Dr. Nunez by my pulmonologist and he spoke highly of him. We called and set up an appointment. His staff is very professional and places you at ease. When the doctor came in he took a genuine interest in my case. He spent more than the allotted time. Generally 15 minutes. He set a plan of action until my next appointment. He stressed that a catheter should be placed in my side to drain a what seemed like forever filling of fluid in the lung. After a few weeks he made the decision to remove the catheter and drain the other lung. His staff set the time to be at the hospital. When he met me the day of surgery I was so impressed with how he took control directing the nursing staff on what he wanted. He always kept me in the loop informing me of what he was going to do and if I was okay with the decisions. Surgery went very well and he was pleased as well.

Dr. Nunez saved my life! Dr. Nunez removed a cancer on my lung in 2019. He is very caring for his patients. He does ALL in his power medically and spiritually to make sure his patients will be ok! He lets his patients look at the CT or MRI X-rays with him pointing at the results of the test and explains what it means. This is huge! He explains everything so his patients can understand! His office manager Rebecca is very friendly, kind, and professional! From the front desk to his nurses they are absolutely wonderful! I am so blessed that Dr. Griggs my pulmonary doctor sent me to see this world-renowned cardiothoracic surgeon! I highly recommend Dr. Anthony Nunez.

He works as a locum tenens and saw me in a post-op visit that was done by another surgeon in the group. After MULTIPLE reschedulings which required repeated juggling of my schedule, he showed up 45 minutes late and spent all of 2-3 minutes with me and didn't give me a chance to ask him a few important questions about how to increase my post-operative activity level and how quickly. Then he announced he had to leave for an emergency call. I saw him walking by the parking garage as I left. The hospital made a serious mistake in getting this physician to cover as locums. My actual surgeon is not going to be so easily replaced. Nunez showed absolutely no interest in my health.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE

While we were on vacation in Orlando in January, 2017 my husband had a heart attack. The cardiac cauterization showed 4 arteries 90% blocked. Dr. Nunez performed emergency triple bypass on my husband which saved his life. He is an excellent doctor, very compassionate and skilled in his profession. His ethical standards are very high. I would recommend him for cardiac surgery and follow up.
