while I enjoyed meeting Dr Castaneda, he and staff and the system of Orlando health was a truly horrible experience. I needed varicose vein treatment, and after several office visits and ultrasound diagnostic visits, it was determined that I needed ablation treatment for both legs. These outpatient visits were scheduled for both legs and shortly before surgery I was called by the estimator to let me know that the cost would be $11,000.00 per leg. I am self-pay. However if the treatment was done in a satellite location it would be $2,000 per leg. The estimator tried to put me in contact with a scheduler that would make that happen. I spent the next two months calling various schedulers, estimators trying to see if the Dr would do the procedure in a satellite office, or have the procedure done by another Dr. in his group. It seems that Dr Castaneda also practices in the Kissimmee office. I tried to talk with Dr Castaneda directly and was told through staff to seek a doctor in private practice, which I eventually did. It's frustrating to listen to the on-hold message of Orlando Health where you are told that the "patients well being is their first priority" and experience the exact opposite when you go through the system. All of the time and money spent to that point was wasted, and I had to start over.

Our experience with Dr. Castaneda was exemplary, extraordinary, outstanding and unforgettable. We will always have a place in our hearts for the platinum work he did on our son (bypass) and the genuine concern and care afterwards. His work and personality are blessings for anyone who will are have encountered his assistance.
