List of Joseph Torres's Reviews
I went for a visit with my mom which is a cancer patient. She needs a primary care physician in order to get a referral to begin her immunotherapy treatment per her Oncologist . We went and the PA was the one to take care of my mom. I was told that day that they will send the referral electronically to the Insurance . 2 weeks after I called the insurance and the did not receive anything. The insurance agent talk to the office and they were very rude . ThDr office told them my mom wnever went there . I went there in person to prove that she did receive services at that office . The young lady at the counter was very rude and showed no empathy at all . Almost 3 weeks after we still haven’t been able to get the referral to the insurance and back to the oncologist ! This is critical for my mom , she doesn’t have much time … I hope and pray it can be resolved.
I love Dr Torres I wish he would take my insurance 😔
I do not recommend this office at all, I have insurance and they tell me that I have a bill and that I have to pay it to attend my appointment and if I cancel I also have to pay the fee. The staff is unprofessional. The balance was $100 and they couldn't make me a payment plan. Invreible they prefer that one leaves and the office is always empty and the staff changes it from time to time or rather they leave.
I left that practice because if you had insurance they would bill you for anything. I had an appt to see Dr Santos and I needed a letter and she said that would have to be another appointment. Really? I was there and she said no so they could bill again. I left and found another Dr. Who is honest. NOW my son went to see Dr Torres and was given antibiotics. He said if you don’t feel better call me. We called after the full set of antibiotics was finished because he wasn’t feeling better ñand DR Torres was out of town. Took him to HCCC and Dr told him he needed to see a urologist. Found out from BCBS he DID NOT need a referral. I made appt with urologist and called and cancelled the follow up appt with Dr Torres since he was seeing the urologist. Now my son gets billed $50 for no show. Called 3x and I finally spoke to Debbie who was RUDE and obnoxious. She refused to remove the no show even though I called to cancel it back in August. She called my son and was rude to him. STAY AWAY will double bill you and his personnel is RUDE. Bridget was nice but Debbie was RUDE.
Dr. Torres is easily one of the best doctors in the area. Highly recommend
Mis recomendaciones para la Oficina del Dr. Torres , juntamente con su equipo demuestra con su atencion lo importante que es la salud de sus pacientes. Son atentos, esmerados. Atienden con mucho profecionalismo, y puntualidad cada necesidad .
What a complete shameful experience. Dr. Torres is a great doctor, but their billing practices and staff ARE NOT!
I have been going to the Kissimmee office for 6 months. So far I like Dr. Torres, his office staff has room for improvement, and I refuse to see his associate. My opinion has changed after 8 months. He is very personable but that has not earned my trust. I have issues on my "problems" list that, according to my cardiologist, I do not have. A couple of these requiring tests that have never been done. They have not contacted me with the results of my bone density test or my mammogram. They only reason that I know there is an issue with the mammogram is because the lab sent a letter for a follow-up in 6 months. I will address my concerns with him on my next visit. Next visit has come and gone. He refused to discuss where he got any of his information, I went to him to get a referral for my knee (arthritis) which I had already seem a specialist for, referral denied. He ordered x- rays on my knee and when I went in for a follow-up visit did not go over the results with me. My daughter, who is a registered nurse, asked him a question regarding a notation on my chart and he could not wait to get out of the room. I now have a new doctor, hopefully one who will be honest with me. He also has a notation on my husband's chart of him having a stent which is absolutely not true. If you go to this doctor, I would suggest you sign up sho that you can go online to see what is on your chart. My understanding is that listing me as a high risk patient, he gets paid more. This info comes from a doctor's office.
Both Drs Santos and Torres are excellent general adult clinicians. The office, however leaves much to be desired. They cater to the Spanish speaking population, which is great, unless you do not speak Spanish. Mistakes are frequently made with scheduling, billing, ordering medications and ordering labwork. I have my endocrinologist send my labs every 3 months, but for some reason they never have them. You have to double check everything the office staff does.
I just had my first appt. and I am very pleased and excited about this doctor and office. Everyone is very pleasant and helpful, and the doctor is very easy to talk to and very engaging in what your concerns are. I am very happy I chose this office and doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
