Hello everyone, I wanted to share my experience. My parents recommended this office to me after my dad had back surgery there. I have a seizure disorder, so I decided to give them a try. At first, everything went well until my third visit, which was supposed to be for my MRI results. Initially, no one discussed the results with me. Instead, I was simply asked, “Everything is good?” and then told they would send in the medication I needed. I asked again about my MRI results, and they eventually brought me back to a room and explained that everything looked fine. However, when I went to the front desk, they gave me paperwork for Keppra at 250 mg. I currently take 750 mg twice a day (1,500 mg daily total). Reducing my dosage to 250 mg could potentially trigger a seizure. When I questioned the dosage, the staff member told me it was “really high.” I explained that I’ve been on this dosage for six years. The doctor then asked me, “Are you sure?” which was very concerning and unprofessional to hear regarding medication I’ve taken long-term. In the end, they prescribed both 750 mg and 250 mg tablets, which only added to the confusion. I also take folic acid, but it was never prescribed or discussed during my visits. When I returned today to ask about it, I was told I would need to purchase it over the counter. I’ve never had to do that before, and no one explained which type or dosage I should take. I was repeatedly told they do not prescribe it because it is “not necessary.” Overall, this experience left me feeling unheard, confused about my medications, and uncomfortable with the level of communication regarding my care.
