List of Thomas Kim's Reviews
Dr. Kim is OK but you cannot get anyone to answer the phone. They need more clerical staff and they need to hire competent people. My mom needs to have a chemical stress test and her insurance denied the test because Dr. Kim's office did not give the proper documentation to show she cannot walk on a treadmill. Aetna advised a peer to peer session to justify the test but no one in the office answered the phone when Aetna called or when I called. This lack of communication will cause someone to die! My mother has to physically drive to the office to even get an appointment. They have been short staffed for months. If you call and leave a message no one returns your call. Horrible patient care. Do not go to this office unless you want to be ignored and frustrated from lack of response.
Clerical staff is short staffed. No one answers the phone. No one returns voicemails. You have to drive there to get an appointment or an answer. Doctor is OK but clerical staff needs help. No alternative numbers provided, no answering service after hours or weekends. My mom had to go to the emergency room on Memorial Day because no one answered and no one provided alternative contact information. Don't they have a Cardiologist on call?
Horrible RUDE office staff, I'll go to Miami before going to this group of cardiologist.
We enjoyed our experience with Dr. Kim very much! He is a calm person who allows questions and has patience with elderly (my mom is 88) and he also gave an optimistic yet realistic outlook, which we appreciated! Anyone who makes it to 88 years old is doing pretty good, so we are tired of the glum doctors who over worry us. Dr. Kim told us the truth but without the drama and allowed my mom to make decisions and he LISTENED to her concerns about her medication instead of being dismissive. We APPRECIATED this doctor so much and practically danced our way out of the appointment!
When I tryed to explain to him about my problems he just ignored me. No matter what I asked him a questions he just looked down on his paper and never answered me.
Felt like I was being rushed the entire time, as well as not being listened to. The assistant/nurse kept interrupting me when I was trying to answer her questions. The same for Dr. Kim, saw at the Celebration Hospital location. Felt like they didn't want to me to even answer their questions. Kept saying "yeah", and "mhm", as I was attempting to answer every question. To me, that's VERY rude. The appointment felt rushed, and I felt like I didn't get to assess everything that I went there for, and especially not for the $452 appointment fee..
Dr. Kim is very thorough!
Dr. Thomas Kim is generally an hour late for our appointment. He rarely makes eye contact with the patient. My spouse has complicated health issues. Dr. Kim is one of the doctors who cares for her but not the lead doctor. The lead doctor at Advent changed a medicine Dr. Kim had ordered. It was causing her blood pressure to drop very low. Dr. Kim was insulted that he was being questioned by another doctor. He is the weakest link of my wife's care team at Adventist Orlando Florida. The others are all excellent and work as a team for her.
Dr. T Kim is a good Dr. at prescribing pills and more pills. Dr. Kim used a scare tactic on me on a visit to his office. Telling me I almost died while on the operating table . But he was never in the operating room at any time when I went for an Aortic Dissection. With that said the cardio thoracic surgeon told me that he was confident that I would make a full recovery and live a healthy life with life style changes . The surgeon asked questions about where I was at mentally in my life and physically. My surgeon made it know to me that I was very strong and young enough to make a healthy recovery. The reason I say all of this is Dr. Kim likes to raise his voice with elderly people in his office. Every time I am in there to see him . It’s as if Dr.Kim is reading from a script. How are you feeling and then what is your pain and how can we manage the patients issues with Medication 💊. I have seen Dr. Kim for a year now . I have asked Dr.Kim what life style changes I needed to make so that I was not on so many pills . I have the feeling Dr.Kim is more interested in medicating people rather than helping people build a path to reducing the pills 💊 patients are on . Note to self as I visit Dr. Thomas Kim a cardiologist in Celebration Florida I have to be my own advocate for a healthy lifestyle so that I am not on so many pills 💊. Dr.Thomas Kim in Celebration Florida I feel does not take the time to help patients make wise life choices or determining more natural or holistic methods that may result in patients not having to take so many pills 💊
I visited Dr. Kim and was very pleased. He wanted me to get a stress test. His office never followed up as promised. I attempted 3 times before my follow up call to get one scheduled and my calls were never returned. My follow up appointment rolled around and they called me to confirm and explained they never scheduled my stress test. They person I spoke to was understandably embarrassed and promised a call in 10 minutes which never came. I have since called 8 times and never get a call.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
