Angel Tafur's Online Review Report Card

Was looking for a doctor closer to my home. I was blown away how extremely rude and arrogant he was. I would rather drive an hour in opposite direction than go 5 minutes down the road to feel like that. I couldn’t imagine having to keep him as my primary. I would rather be sick and in pain than have to be stuck in a room with him for more than 30 seconds. Should have acknowledged the other reviewers, they were right. Went right back to my doctor thats further away.

Dr Tafur and his wife P. A are unable to properly diagnose a visual lymphedema in the arm with cellulitis. Are unwilling to treat for cellulitis and lymphedema. Are unwilling to test and treat visual symptoms for a UTI. Are unwilling to communicate and return telephone calls for concerned resident and caregiver. Are unwilling to treat 3 infections with an IV antibiotic

He doesnt deserve a star. He is not willing to communicate with me as a resident POA and HS about the infections he is suppose to be treating in SNF resident. He and his P.A missed the cellulitis, swelling of the resident arm. They are not willing to test the resident for a UTI who is clearly demonstrating symptoms for. I dont recommend this doctor or his assistant whose name is Lauren so they tell me, and they say SHE is his WIFE.

Heartless. Father released from hospital on Thursday afternoon with stage IV cancer and barely able to care for himself. Mother falls and breaks her arm on Friday. Friday evening I call the "on call number" and ask his service to contact the on call provider for a home health aid referral to get a home care provider for my parents, and his service said that he (Dr. Tafur) said, "it's the weekend, I can't do anything until Monday." A referral takes maybe a minute. Are you kidding? Finding a new provider and a lawyer to incentivize.

I went to Dr. Tafur with a complaint of pinworms. He prescribed a medication which cost me over $3,000. I told him as a retired senior citizen this was difficult for me. My pharmacist recommended several cheaper options which Dr. Tafur said were not suitable. I know that there is an over-the-counter medication which is very inexpensive. Out of desperation I paid the $3,000, but I can't help but wonder why he would not prescribe a less expensive option. In my opinion he must be getting a kick-back from the company that I paid the $3,000 to.

Wonderful practice with caring, professional individuals serving the Villages. I purchased a home in the Villages in 2015. I relocated from Maryland. I am a retired Federal civil servant. My primary physician is Angel Tafur. My mother, my sister/family and my best friend have all relocated here also. One of our family members is a Johns Hopkins transplant patient. They all have the Tafur's as their primary physicians. I would not have provided this recommendation if I didn't have full trust in their practice. We are confident in the Tafur's abilities to provide the best care possible in The Villages.

Dr. Tafur and Lauren are amazing. They give you the time you need, answer all your questions and care about their patients.
