He is compassionate, understanding, explains EVERYTHING. He takes his time, listens and does an exceptional job getting individuals back to ultimum health. I’m so sad he moved out of the Wesley Chapel area. He’s a great lost.

Dr. Francisco Schwartz-Fernandes' Residency is NOT as he states. His residency is from Brazil so is his medical school. He has completed a fellowship in Hand surgery in the US, But it is for foreign trained surgeons and Not accredited by the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) His information on this site is very misleading.

Indeed, Dr. Francisco Schwartz Fernandes is not Board Certified in the United States; only in Brazil. I contacted the American Board of Medical Specialties, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Board of Surgery of the Hand, American Board of Medical Specialties, American Society for Surgery of the Hand and these boards and society don't have any record for Dr. Francisco Schwartz Fernandes. I Do Not recommend getting medical recommendations from this Dr. For God's sake, seek advise from United States trained surgeons.

I was referred to see Dr. Schwartz-Fernandes for a growth in my hand. He performed surgery but neglected to perform a biopsy first. The growth turned out to be cancer and he did not properly removed the growth, so the growth returned and spread through my body. He needs to attend a residency in the US and an accredited fellowship.; his fellowship is NON-ACGME. I guess Florida doesn't care to check applicants' credentials. His medical school trains mostly nurses and medical techs. (third world)

I went to see Dr. Fernandes, however, was disappointed he was not Board Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties. He should try to get board certification and surely get more respect from the medical community.

Dr. Schwartz-fernandes lacks basic medical protocols usually acquired at US residency programs. Dr. Schwartz Fernandes has never attended a US residency. He is also NOT Board Certified in Hand Surgery or Orthopedic Surgery. Please seek the advise of surgeons who are board certified by the American Board ofMedical Specialties. Otherwise, you'll be getting second class healthcare.
