List of Janmejay Shaktawat's Reviews
I found Dr. J irritatingly dismissive of concerns I raised about my 87 yr. old life partner. I asked if there was a way to test for a 2nd possible brain bleed starting and Dr. J's response was "people his age normally experience memory loss, why bother testing or consulting a neurologist?" 2 weeks later my partner was air-lifted to Shands in Gainesville with a "large" brain bleed. He survived, but no thanks to someone he trusted as his "primary care physician ".
DR Shaktawat takes the time needed to address concerns, if all i need is 5 minutes i get 5 minutes if I need more I get more.
I don’t even want to give this Dr a 1star review. If you are elderly, do not use this Dr. My Dad died because he refused to treat him properly. Multiple concerns were discussed about my Dad having Sepsis and a UTI infection. He insisted he didn’t have it and did not test him properly. Actually argued with the caregiver and was so dismissive with our concerns. What kind of Doctor mistakes this for depression? Well Dad died from Sepsis and a uti infection. PLEASE DO NOT use the Doctor. His medical license should be revoked!!
Dr. Shaktawat has been my primary care physician for a couple of years. During my recent physical, I received excellent care delivered in a professional and caring manner. His explanations were thorough and clear. He asked great questions and really listened to the answers. Given the demanding schedule a physician must maintain, Dr. Shaktawat's genuine concern and patience is something rare.
Couldn't even get an appointment. Was told that I had to go to the office, pick up a new patient packet. and then bring it back. I informed that I work full time and couldn't the packet be emailed to me? Again, i was told that I could fill it out and then I had to return it personally, the doc would review and tell his staff when to set up an appointment. Seriously? No thanks!
Dr. Jay is the best doctor I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable about every condition. His bedside manner is excellent. He explains everything very well and spends time with his patients.
Used to be wonderful but since hiring Alison Luther you get to see her unless you ask for the doctor when making the appointment. There are many complaints against her and he doesn't care. He prescribed a med for me that's dangerous if you have asthma; I've had it since age 6 and told them on their forms. Just don't...
Visit was to interview new provider, ours retiring. Clearly disclosed by initial phone call & time new patient forms picked up. Office intake person was rude & did not have face mask covering her nose. When told, not apologetic, only snotty. Threw our forms on a desk & left. Nurse practioner, not PA was rude & confrontational as soon as she walked in knowing the nature of our visit. She had a negative attitude from the get go & said be concise since I blocked off time and can't bill you since I am not providing service. We offered to pay. We inquired about treatment of a friend we had to take to urgent care because they didn't return their phone call & were told that was a complaint & wouldn't address it. Never an apology, just more "attitude. She again reminded us she could not bill & told us she thought we should look elsewhere. Villagers, stay away from this office unless you like being treated without courtesy, patience or respect. It's about the money, not your wellbeing.
My wife and I both have Dr. Jay as our PC Physician and are very satisfied with him. Besides being very knowledgeable and professional, Dr. Jay actually cares about his patients and always has to the time really listen.
Dr. Shaktawat takes the time to listen to his patients and includes them in decisions about their healthcare. He is straightforward and detailed in his explanations and refers you to highly qualified specialists when necessary.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
