List of J Trott's Reviews
Trott is CMSMG Dermatology. Such a beautiful web site that is absolutely not reflective of what is offered there. There were around 4 pages regarding litigation in the new patient paperwork before getting to my information. I found that concerning but now I understand why. He is not a dermatologist and will only consult with a patient on the first visit in order to charge for another visit with supposed actual treatment. The ruse was a fake phone call that he takes during the visit saying that they are too busy. Later on the claim was that the insurance company does not allow treatment on the first visit. I overheard it done before me and was surprised to have it done with me as well. Visitors have to wear a mask after being let into an entry door that is locked at all times. This has to be a fire hazard because you cannot just walk out. He makes inappropriate minority and married jokes and he himself is a minority. Also embellished his education. He sprayed and rubbed alcohol that smelled like water all over my arm. All fake precautions as there was a dog in the office and he was covered in dog hair. The exam table was dirty and I opted to sit in the chair. Took my blood pressure 5 times and blamed the staff for not doing so. My blood pressure was fine and not required for the visit. He blamed the staff for just about everything that was wrong. The one star can be given for their ability to get the insurance to pay them. My insurance initially denied their claim and after calling repeatedly they told me that they know how to get it approved and they did. Regardless of what you may be led to believe, I could not in good faith experience such craziness and not warn others. There is so much more unprofessionalism, but I will stop here. Had I known that CMSMG was associated with him I would have researched and gone elsewhere to begin with. I consider it great luck that I was not treated and ended up finding the most amazing and clean dermatologists at Gainesville Dermatology. Visited and was treated happily the same day. It was much further away but absolutely worth it.
Dr Trott is an extraordinary Dr.. recommend highly. Negative feedbacks from others are FAKE when speaking on this Dr..
After seeing 5 different drs. In Lake city fl I finally found my doctor who listened and are seen by the Doctor. Was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED HE FINALLY HELPED ME. HE WILL DEFINITELY BE MY DOCTOR. NOT THE RIDICULOUS THING OF SEEING A NURSE PRACTITIONER.. I HIGHLY RATE HIM. HE ACTUALLY CARES AND LISTENS TO YOU. THANK GOD FOR DR.TROTT I FINALLY FOUND A GREAT DOCTOR.
I am THRILLED I was able to see Dr. Trott. I can't imagine any negativity from any of the staff. Dr. is personable, caring and SMART ! I recommend Dr. Trott highly.
Terrible. Will not go back. Have not ever been treated as bad as I was at this office
Dr Trott is a great doctor. Cannot say enough about him!
Too slow . Had an appointment at 9:30 . Was told to come back at 10:30 because I didn’t want to wait . Came back and didn’t get seen until 2 hrs later
Dr. Trott is a great dermatologist. He explained to us very well and prescribed the right stuff that we really need. Staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you so much!!! Recommended
The Good: --> Went for one visit, to get a long overdue skin check. Dr. Trott is one of the few Dermatologists left in this world that does his own skin checks. The skin check was the most thorough skin check I have ever had. He even checked under my ring, very thoroughly through my hair, top and bottom of my feet and even my gums. --> Covid precautions were extreme (a good thing) with checkin at front door with temperature check, hand sanitizing and all office exposed to UV after hours and sanitized regularly. --> very pleasant and caring doctor and even gave me his phone number to call 24/7-365 (more on that later) The Bad: --> Wait was quite a bit beyond my appointment time (about 1 hr) No Good but not unheard of. --> although covid precautions were excellent, to some extent they were prohibitive. You have to knock at the front door so they can check your temp _ which would be great but the first time i went nobody answered the door and I had to leave. --> I had to drive to the office and knock on the door twice to get someone to change and setup an appointment. --> no treatment when doing a skin check - and they only will be doing one biopsy per visit. The Ugly: --> Getting someone on the phone is impossible. I have two numbers for this office and have called over two days now to move an appointment (6 times today) and get no answer, [No answer, no answering machine, no answering service, no message telling you to call back.] --> the receptionist leaves the office wuite a bit with no one covering so alternative forms af communication are needed. --> there is no email to leave a note, - -> there is no web site The rest of the story: I'm going to go somewhere else, I have tow locations (my gums and major issue on top of head) and I really don't want to wait much longer.
Very back customer service the operator who answer me was very rude very bad attitude She don’t know that service the clinic given in the office and I don’t know the doctor knows about how she is with the patient on the phone

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
