Dr. Maya is kind and thorough when you can get an appointment with him; he is often unavailable or you may schedule six months in advance only to be called the day before and asked to reschedule another several months out (this happened to me more than once). The support staff overall is unkind and unhelpful.
He pays close attention to all lab tests and even determined I needed iron infusion for anemia. The is a first for me as we’ve been following kidney function measurements including GFR. Thanks for a careful and friendly practice.
Doc is okay but several nurses are rude and un professional.
The doctor is an excellent professional and Mrs. Dina provides very good service to the patient, but the nurse has a very bad character and a very bad attitude with the patient, this damages the service of the office.
One of the best Dr’s I have; Excellent Professional, Caring, Excellent human being.
Dr. Maya, in my opinion, is an incompetent and my treatment was negligible at best, but even that's being kind He treated me for low sodium in my blood. After a many day hospital stay, and numerous blood draws, he then stated my sodium level now was acceptable but refused to discharge me. Let me remind you, I never was never admitted for this issue but for something TOTALLY UNRELATED. After numerous pleas from me, he refused to discharge me because he said it was safer for me to stay in hospital than to leave because covid was a danger outside the hospital! This was in spite of the fact that I told him was was fully vaccinated , live alone, and never have been near a covid positive person. I've NEVER been more poorly treated than by this doctor. Hospitals are covid hotspots, and even his hospital has a redbanner on top of their website saying visiting times are being limited because of covid! You tell me if this makes any sense! I am worse now off now that I've been treated by him!
I was lucky enough to have Dr Maya recommended to me about 8 months ago. I’m an insulin dependent diabetic, 71 years old with kidneys that at times made me feel me feel as if they were getting ready to shut down I thought .Dr Maya made me realize not all pain in that area of the body should be attributed to the kidneys. Great personal attention Thanks Dr Maya
I went to Dr. Maya while going to an Endocrinologist in the same building. He examined me and ordered appropriate test for diagnosis. Upon our second visit he explained my condition, and what I must do to improve the situation. what else can you expect from a doctor. He is the most understanding person and genuinely cares for your feelings and fears. I cannot recommend him enough !!!!!!!
A very caring and attentive Nephrologist ! Listens to everything you have to say and gives good advice. Staff is caring, and complete in assisting you with any need. I would recommend Dr. Maya to anyone !!!!
Dr. Maya is a wonderful person and amazing professional. He treats his patients as if they were part of his family. He is devoted to his career and very knowledgeable. Dr. Maya we can't take you enough for my dad's health!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
